I looked at coops for months. Months on Facebook marketplace and reading reviews on Amazon -and my husband rejected all of my finds. This was the one we could finally settle on. Pretty good reviews, not too expensive or difficult to assemble. My issue with this product is that it just feels so flimsy every time I open the door that I worry about my girls. That said, we have had a skunk prowling around our yard for two months and haven't lost any chickens. With the simple addition of some bricks or stones around the base, and it is safe. I think for my own peace of mind I am going to reinforce ours by zip tying a length of sturdy chicken wire around the bottom all around. ... show more

The frame came together cleanly and quickly without any issues. I appreciated that I came with more than enough zip ties, as well as a roll of wire. I plan on deconstructing it in a couple of months to move it somewhere else and the way it is constructed will make that easy without a change in structural integrity, and I'll still have the wire for ties to reattach the mesh. The wire takes a good bit of work to install, but that's just what this sort of thing requires. I think the price was great for all that was included and the strength of the materials seems enough for suburban use (meaning predators like dogs or raccoons, not bears or something.) It can easily be made stronger with your own effort in how well you connect the mesh or how many tie points you make, which I appreciate. ... show more

I knew what I was getting into, kind of. This is a decent set up but I suggest you buy a pair of good work gloves and your own spool of wire to attach the fence to the poles. Zip ties are included, but buy extra. I'm also 5'9" and I can't stand up in the center. The ducks don't care, but my hair gets stuck in the fencing constantly. Still a decent set up. ... show more

Product arrived 5 days before expected. I was surprised how nicely the wire netting is held tight by the zip ties. I was approx. 20 zip ties short. I think I would have had plenty if I had cut out my sections and tied them together as opposed to building it off the roll like I did. Took me all day to build as I was doing it by myself. Would have been easier with a second person. I have not applied the tarp yet. I may use metal siding instead as I’ve tried to use tarps for other projects and they tend to get destroyed quickly. ... show more

We bought this to expand our current chicken run/ coop area. Really happy with the size, and our new coop fits perfectly. Will add more tarps next summer, added predator proofing on the bottom- we had a lot of extra chicken wire to use up.
