It was a little tricky to assemble. I got two #11 parts and no #10 parts so I have to modify the build and use duct tape (not something I would have expected to do for the price) however it is sturdy, made with quality parts, and perfect for my chickens

    • Well built......... and does what it is supposed to do
Instructions are pretty on par with instructions from....ummm.. another country... as in.. really odd and hard to understand... You'd think it would be simple to put together...but took some time, patience and thought. Durable metal construction and the steps feel like plastic to us. I personally don't see any wood in sight. Chickens have climbed on it.. but honestly they find the plastic steps a bit slippery... and while they are curious and have climbed on it.. the girls tend to just end up on the old built on the farm with old broomstick perches.. Want something quick to put in your nice neat coup? Go for it... But..... if out on the farm could certainly built something just as easily. So... nice product for the most part...just up to you if it is needed or not ... show more

We raise a number of different varieties of chickens and quail and I thought this would be nice in one of the coops. It went together easily but it is rather small and I doubt that it will last a long time with a bunch of fat bored hens. Maybe good for a couple of chickens as pets, not for a coop full of hens. ... show more

To build this product, you will need 1. A screwdriver 2. About an hour of your day 3. A hefty dose of patience If you have all of these things, then this is a good quality and fun addition to anyone’s chicken run! Took me about an hours to assemble. There were a million little pieces - if you’ve ever built something from IKEA at the risk of your marriage and succeeded, then you will be able to do this. I’m very happy with it now that’s it’s built. It’s sturdy and I think my chickens are going to love it. It isn’t super deep but it is quite wide with the ladders in the size so make sure you have enough room in your run. I think this is worth the price and my chickens are going to be so happy! ... show more

I ordered this product for my small flock of chickens in hopes that this would keep them a little more entertained than just a plain old perch. They are certainly curious about it and while the little swing frightened them, my bravest chicken already managed to climb to the top and stake his claim. This chicken perch is solidly constructed of metal and waterproofed wood. It took me an hour to assemble using a Phillips screwdriver and a small wrench and while the instructions were fairly easy to follow, the last step where the ladders, top perch and frame come together could have been a little clearer. That's my only critique of the product though. Overall, I like the sturdiness, the variety of the different perches, and how little space it takes up in my run. ... show more
