Coat has a good weight to it, nice medium weather lining. Great for out and about. Comfortable and not too bulky to wear in car. I wouldn’t go skiing; and I wouldn’t shovel the drive without a sweater underneath. Large is my size and this has enough room to wear a sweater without being too tight, roomy but not too large if you don’t. Not sure I’d pay full price, 35% sale is good value; bought Blue at 65% discount?! Definitely works for me. It’s Royal Blue and dull soft denim type fabric with canvas texture, not smooth, not coated, no sheen like one of the pics. Fuzzy lining around body, sleeves are thinner and lightly lined but not fuzzy. Pockets are deep and useful. Great buttons. Looks sharp. Dumb pull cords … they’re supposed to function as tightening hood or waist, but waist is too high and they don’t stay. Simple leather looking clasp that is for decoration - too loose. Like the elastic sleeve to keep tight at wrist. Again button just looks good, there’s only one button so you can’t make it smaller. Really like the removable fuzzy hood with hidden zipper. Proper 2 snaps tightly and no gap. Coat has high button perfectly at chin height with lining and zipper doesn’t pinch. Really good value, well made. If you’re not picky about those couple little details will be a great cold-weather coat. Save yourself 1/2 and grab the blue one. ... show more

I really enjoy wearing this jacket for its versatility and high build quality. The hood also has very soft material that helps you feel warm even if the wind is blowing. The material is heavy duty and is a great choice as an outer layer. The jacket has many pockets to allow you to hold all the things you need either as every day carry or special gear for hikes or camping. I have been told it resembles a type of Army field jacket, but I'm not sure since I didn't serve. ... show more

I wore it only for 10 seconds and I felt it is like XLT instead of the Large that I oredred and I alway wear Large, so it is big and tall. The fabric seems not that good quality. I think one or two washes will fade the jacket,. You wear it in Cold sunny day outside, the sun will fade it too. It is pretty thick and warm. So if you dont care for the above 2 points, then go for it if cold is the only reason you need a jacekt for. I am returning it. ... show more

Everything objective stated, so far, in the descriptions are literally correct. Do *not* choose a size based on what you "usually" wear. For instance, I usually wear an overcoat like this in US size XL since I'm wearing it over sweaters and usually over 2-3 layers. However, as I usually do when buying clothes on Amazon, I checked the sellers sizing chart. I saw that the "L" size had a 50.7" to 51.5" Chest rating. Bare, my chest size measures US 45-46" and I'll normally order an "XL" overcoat that has a 49-50" Chest rating. So, this time, I ordered the "L" size as their chart stated....Perfect sizing! When received it, I tried it on over 3-layers I was wearing. It was easy to put on, even with my arthritis-crippled hands; and, even when zipped, had enough play/looseness to be comfortable sitting or standing without being overly baggy. A couple points of interest for buyers in the US. First, the zipper pulley is US-style on the right-hand side. Some previous buyers stated it was Euro-style on the left, but it looks like they've rectified that for the US market. Second, the button-straps on the cuff, while functional, are decorative in nature. You can button/unbutton them, but there is no second snap for the strap to tighten around the cuffs. The inner elastic cuff is tight enough around the wrists that it shouldn't allow any cold wind up the sleeves. There is a third point. The pockets are a *little* bit smaller than what I'm used to. The upper-chest pockets are a bit tough to fit my fingers into to grab things, but I'm sure I'll get used to it. The coat is shipped in a tight-fitting bag that leaves it wrinkled. If, like me, you have a steamer; just hang it up and it's easy to steam out the wrinkles. The pockets, snaps, hood, are all as described/shown. The weather hasn't reach sub-freezing while I have this to wear, but I should be able to update before winter is over. ... show more
