It's stylish, warm, soft (especially the liner), and it's highly functional...meaning that unlike a lot of jackets with a bunch of apparent buttons and pockets, every single button can be unbuttoned and every pocket is an actual pocket. Nothing is just for show, EXCEPT... ....these dorky patches. "Outdoor". "Challenge". Lol...OK. Been meaning to swing this jacket by a tailor sometime to make sure they can remove the patches without damaging the jacket. It's not a huge deal so I haven't done that yet, but if I can get these patches off then it's definitely one of my top two or three jackets I've owned. Seriously everything else about the jacket feels premium and I'm surprised it wasn't double the price for the quality. Also because it's so big/soft/warm, it's a great jacket to pull out when you're hanging out with the girlfriend who inevitably gets cold and asks for a jacket. Maybe the jacket is half the price because they know she's gonna steal this one and you'll need two. ... show more

I'm hard to please, but when pleased I'll let you know. Nice quality, great fit, average size guy. Warm. My tweaks, pocket depths. An average size smart phone must fit comfortably in every pocket securely. The interior breast pocket works for me. The exterior fabric has a nice touch. The old style fabric, like finger nails on a chalk board, gave me that feeling. Not this one, nice tactile feel. And I haven't been paid for this review. LOL ... show more

This coat is definitely worth it.. I paid more for it when I got it.. it’s gone down since then.. lots of pockets in the right places. Definitely keeps you warm and blocks the wind.. I work outside a lot and this coat was a great choice.. seriously if you are looking for a good coat for style or for work this coat will do both and keep you warm too.. ... show more

    • Overall good quality - but damaged, and iffy style choice that is masked in the photos on Amazon.

This one just showed up. It used "soft" Amazon and manufacturer patching, so it was wrinkled to the point that it needed either an iron, or time in a dryer (which incidentally is against the instructions on the tag). Problem: Other reviewers have noticed the patches that are very carefully not shown in the Amazon photos. But when you're looking at the thing...yeah, they're there. Also they stick up enough that they may be a catch-and-tear issue. Mine actually showed up damaged with a tear along a long edge of the patch, showing the interior construction. Replacement is on the way, but the best-case scenario is that it'll be in good condition but with those two ridiculous patches. I may hit a local hobby shop for a #11 X-Acto knife to carefully remove them by cutting the stitches one-by-one. Time-consuming but worth it. It looks like one viewer above has already done just that. So, by all appearances, five stars for the coat itself. Fabric looks good, size is great, coat seems warm with fake fur lining around chest (not the sleeves), fake-fur-lined hood is removable (if a little ridiculously large (which may not be a bad idea if you're already wearing a stocking cap or a hoodie). But. Minus 2 points for REALLY trying to hide those patches in the product photos, plus the item showing up damaged. ... show more

I love the way this jacket feels on my skin. It's warm and cozy. The only thing I would like to suggest is more pockets. One on each sleeve, one on either side on the inside, and one on both sides of the outer chest area.
