I purchased this electric warming tray for Thanksgiving 2024, and it was absolutely fantastic! It kept all my dishes warm throughout the meal, making hosting much easier. I had initially seen rolling mat-style heating trays all over social media, but I was worried—despite claims otherwise—that they might get too hot underneath and damage my countertops or wooden furniture like my buffet. After some research, I found this traditional, sturdy warming tray, and I couldn’t be happier with my decision. This tray is thoughtfully designed. It stays cool underneath, so there’s no risk to your surfaces. The temperature controls are easy to use, it’s simple to clean, and the build quality is excellent. It feels durable and well-made, unlike the silicone, roll-up versions I’ve since seen post-Thanksgiving videos of, which unfortunately did damage some countertops. This review is for 21x16 Chefman Electric Warming Tray. This has been a blessing for the issues that can rise when guests arrive at various times. It is easy to use, elegant and keeps the food warm. The adjustable temperature makes it easy to modulate serving needs as time passes. The size is ideal for holding three medium to small heat tolerant serving trays. Most of our serving was for 4-6 people. It has a glass top, I am glad I did not notice this at the time, it would have made me less inclined to make the purchase. The extra gentleness while putting it away and storing it is well worth the effort, plus the glass top turned out to be a blessing, it makes it so easy to clean. We had spills of rice, gravy etc. Once the unit is cold, a sponge with dish soap and a wipe with a wet towel, took care of everything. I keep it in its original bag and box, and use the original side foams (I use duck tape to re-enforce the box). It stores well under the bed. The only issue that needs attention is that the bottom of the unit heats-up, it has to be placed on fire resistant material. We set it on top of an old barbecue outdoors, on top of the stove (when not in use) or extra large cookie sheet, or granite countertop indoor. We used it on many occasions and have not had any issues with the knob or the way it heats. ... show more

Bought as a gift for my cousin since she hosts alot of events. She absolutely loves it. Kept appetizers hot and then roasted broccoli and potatoes nice and hot for christmas dinner without burning them on the bottom. The seperation between the counter and the unit was comforting as I was worried about the mat style from other brands damaging her counter. This one was perfect because it has the legs so its not directly on the counter. Well functioning and Very easy to clean just like a glass top stove if anyone spills. Would purchase again for sure and my cousin raved it was an amazing gift she will use all year long. I used two of these for a gathering of 20+ people. Two 9x13 Pyrex dishes fit on one warming tray comfortably, so I had four 9x13 dishes out for the hot part of the buffet. The temperature control works well. I used silicone mats to protect my laminate counter - no problems. The smooth surface cleans up easily. I would advise saving the boxes and styrofoam inserts for storage since these do have a glass top similar to an electric smooth top stove and you won't want them rattling against your baking sheets and such. I store them in a closet with my table linens because they are too large for my small kitchen's cupboards, but they are pretty space efficient there under the table cloths. I've put off buying anything like this for years - I'm so glad to have them now. Don't hesitate, they are totally worth it. ... show more

I purchased the Chefman Electric Warming Tray in preparation for an upcoming holiday party. To test it out beforehand, I used it for the first time tonight, and overall, I'm pleased with its performance. The tray is sleek, stylish, and incredibly easy to use, making it a great addition to any buffet setup. The large 21” x 16” glass-top surface is perfect for keeping multiple dishes warm simultaneously. When I set it to the max temperature, it kept everything perfectly heated—lids came off with visible steam, showing it maintained the food at an ideal serving temperature. However, I’m giving it four stars because the temperature gauge lacks markings to indicate specific heat levels. This made it impossible to know precisely how hot the surface was, so I defaulted to the max setting to ensure my dishes stayed warm. Despite this minor flaw, I’m confident it will serve me well during my party. Its modern design complements any decor, and the functionality is exactly what I need for entertaining. I used these instead of chafing dishes. I first purchased two. I like them so much I purchased 2 more. These are so must easier to use and clean up than chafing dishes. No water to warm and dump or sternos to discard.

These warmers are a MUST HAVE! I ordered 2 for Thanksgiving and they were a lifesaver. The best part is that they keep the food warm/hot WITHOUT burning the bottom of the food. I’ll be ordering a couple more for Christmas dinner. They look great, easy to clean. Worth the investment.

I purchased the warming tray Oct 2023. It lasted only 3 times. Worked great those times, took it out of closet for this Christmas...dead. Would not heat up. Not a good return on my investment. It was stored safely. Do not recommend buying this product
