Upon being turned on, it will automatically move, shake or bounce, among which you can switch to fit for different cat plays. The product itself works well and the cats seem to like playing with it. It's very small, about the size of a ping pong ball, maybe slightly larger. It seems very durable, and it rolls and bounces as advertised. The only issue is that that battery doesn't seem to have a lot of capacity, it doesn't take very long to charge it, but it only last for a couple hours especially if being played with a lot, so it requires constant charging, if you can find it. The human servants do not provide enough entertainment for us so we made them get this. It has multiple settings and works well on our hardwood floors. We play with it sometimes...but mostly we love to watch it as it rolls around and changes direction when it bumps into stuff...including our paws...or our bodies when we pretend to be furry puddles on the floor... We gave this only 4 stars because the ball doesn't automatically go to its charging location and pur humans can't seem to find it now. This is the BEST cat toy I have ever purchased for keeping my cat entertained when I can't pull, throw, and dangle things. Took this out of the box, charged it up, turned it on and the fun began! It's great that if it runs into something like a wall or shoe or whatever, it changes direction. My cat even went flying over a 1 1/2' flower basket to go chase it down the hallway. The media could not be loaded. My cat seriously has not stopped chasing this ball around since I set it down. Even as I'm writing this he's intensely watching it waiting for his opportunity to pounce on it 😂. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is I'm not sure how apartment friendly it is. Any time it goes on the red setting on a non carpeted area the ball spins so fast that it starts jumping. My cat loves it, but I'm a noise conscious person and all that tapping as it jumps is a bit loud on linoleum and tile. As I was typing that he wore himself out. He’s moody in all things and ways - as cats are. I’d say 3 times out of 5 he’s all about it, and the other 2 he walks away. When he does get into it, it’s a solid 10-15 minutes of playtime, which is about 50-70% longer than he’s into his other toys at any given time. Works as advertised and I haven’t had any issues with different surfaces, save the occasional inside of a slipper it finds itself in. Pro tip would be that if it’s in an area that has more obstacles, switch it to the super bouncy-jumpy mode and it gets itself outta most binds. My main gripe with it is that the RGB ring is solid plastic and is super loud on hardwood flooring when it rolls and jumps - if they could find a way to make that a softer rubber that would be extremely ideal. ... show more

First of all, our cat does not get a lot a playing time since we work for most of the day so I bought this so he could have something to play with while we are gone and he loves it. However, The battery life is not very good at all so you'll find yourself taking it away to charge it, which is no fun for anyone. It also ran perfectly the first week then started getting real picky about running over certain surfaces in our house until it almost completely stopped running at all.
