Good for baking, dehydrating, and they can transform your convection oven into an air fryer, sort of. They fit perfectly into a half-sheet pan, raising food up for all-around heat circulation. They work fine but feel a tad flimsy. They're holding together fine, though. They're as easy/hard to clean as other similar items. I decided to buy these after seeing them recommended by America's Test Kitchen. I absolutely love them as they fit perfectly into my expensive half sheet pans that I use all the time. These racks are going to be a lot of use and the best thing is that they are dishwasher safe and very sturdy because of the extra cross bars underneath the mesh. Updated - October/23 I loved the half sheet racks that I bought previously so much that I decided to order a set of 2 of the quarter sheet racks. They fit perfectly into the quarter sheet pans that I use sometimes, so perfect for the toaster oven or something smaller in the main oven, and also great when you don't want to use the bigger racks. The large horizontal support bar and three smaller support bars with feet make a very sturdy base with no wobble or bending. These can easily support 20+ pounds. The feet are bare metal and might scratch the surface if they are slid with a heavy load, but no scratches from my use so far. I have hand washed these and air dried. No rusting, but I suspect that any mention of rust in reviews would be from washing machines at the spot welds, not the mesh itself. ... show more
