The Champion Power Equipment 100809 4000-Watt Portable Inverter Generator with CO Shield® is ideal for camping, tailgating, powering items around the RV or providing backup for a few basics. This unit is not recommended for emergency home backup. Weighing less than 49 pounds, this light model is one of the lightest 4000-watt inverters in the industry. Thanks to Champion’s innovative design, power on the go has never been easier. Power up with the reliable recoil start, plus Cold Start Technology ensures a quick start in cold weather. Included are a a 120V 25A TT-30R outlet, a 120V 20 A household duplex outlet (5-20R), plus a 12V automotive-style outlet, and Parallel outlets. This inverter operates at 64 dBA from 23 feet. Using gasoline, the 149cc Champion engine produces 4000 starting watts and 3000 running watts. When the 1.54-gallon tank of gasoline is full, this inverter will run up to 10 hours at 25% load. Connect this Parallel Ready inverter with another Champion 4000-watt inverter for 30 amps of power. If you purchase the optional parallel kit (not included), you can integrate two inverters, plus the kit has a 120V 30A locking and 120V 50A RV outlet. Confidently connect your sensitive electronics since this inverter produces Clean Power (<3% THD). Designed for safety with a low oil shut-off sensor, this model has a 0.5-quart oil capacity. Champion’s Inverter Technology includes smart Economy Mode, which monitors the electrical load to reduce engine speed, noise, and fuel consumption. Fully assembled with hassle-free setup, the built-in carrying handle makes transport a cinch. DO NOT allow engine exhaust fumes to enter a confined area through windows, doors, vents or other openings.     • Super QUIET and love the power!
We have a Champion 4500 inverter, but it's getting harder to get it into and out of the 5th wheel basement these days, so getting these Champion 4000 that can be paralleled for 8000w of surge and 6000w of continuous power is awesome. Weighing 1/2 as much as the 4500, these are much easier to handle when we boon dock in addition to being to run all 3 of our ACs (we have soft starts on all three). The best new feature on these is the addition of a fuel gauge! Usually on a generator this size, you don't see that. Comes in handy for those overnights at Wally World ;) ... show more

I have a bakery and we have a vintage trailer that’s not very big. We run 3 fridges, A/C unit, lights, pos system and a few other things and it works so well. We’ve only used it for 8 hr events but never been over that time. A lot less noisy than most generators ours is always the quite one at the event. I highly recommend this we will also be using this for our fifth wheel whatever we need it. ... show more

I bought a larger Champion generator a few years ago, I love it, it gave me perfect service. So when I found out they made a smaller, lighter, and equally powerful inverter generator, I had to get one. I was satisfied, it is lighter, quieter, and works awesome.
