My pantry is my current project (ie organizing and making it look nice). I researched many sites to find the best, and most cost effective, cereal containers. This set is by far the most inexpensive set I found that still had good reviews. A lot of the reviews mentioned that is was “too small,” but they are the perfect size for me. I have a typical builders pantry and these fit perfectly on the shelf. I’m also happy with the amount of food they hold. A normal sized box of cereal fits with some room to spare, and the family sized box *almost fits (see attached photo), but once a bowl or two of cereal is eaten I’m fine with pouring the rest in; that’s not a big deal for me. Any bigger and it wouldn’t fit on my shelf and would be difficult for my kids to handle. This also solves the problem of cereal going stale because my 8 year old rips the bag/box open or doesn’t store it appropriately. These are simple for him to use appropriately, and the opening is big enough to easily pour cereal. My only negative comment, and reason for four stars on ease to clean, is that there is a rubber seal that allows water around it when cleaning, but does not easily release it. Containers that I’ve had with this type of seal in the past have molded around the seal. With these I was able to easily remove said seal and clean it. The seal itself is easy enough to dry, but the small crevice where it fits in the lid has to air dry completely before filling containers to avoid mold growth. Aside from the type of seal, I am overall very happy with these! The reusable stickers and chalk pen were an added bonus. Would definitely recommend. ... show more

I purchased these containers to keep my cereal in - to prevent it from becoming stale, and to keep the boxes from being knocked over. I live in an apartment with very little kitchen storage space and I keep my cereal on top of my refrigerator. The cereal comes in a flimsy cardboard box, and after handling it and pouring from it a few times, it becomes unsteady and sometimes falls over or gets knocked over. It can create a big mess if someone forgets to close the bag inside. And that’s a whole other issue - the cereal becomes stale since the bag cannot be resealed. These containers solve all of those issues, and they are exactly what I was looking for. They are the perfect size to hold a large box of cereal. They are easy to open and close, and easy to clean. The lids fit snugly and have an airtight seal. And they look great - they have a uniform look that is SO much more pleasant to the eye than lopsided boxes of different sizes and clashing colors! The only thing I don’t like about these containers is the pour spout - it’s too far away from the edge and difficult to pour cereal. But it’s not a deal breaker - mine came with a set of 3 scoops, all different sizes, and they work great! I cannot comment on the labels - I don’t use them and I haven’t written on them (I know what’s inside each one because the plastic is see-through.) We purchase those big family sized packages of cereal, including the "double packs" from Sam's Club, and we'd been looking for a way to store these in our lazy susan with the non-huge sized boxes. These are a great size, are durable, easy to clean, and the lids both attach securely and stay tightly closed. I wish I could give half stars, because this is really a 4.5 star item. The only beef I have with these containers is that the opening for the cereal is quite small. Items like Cheerios or Cocoa Puffs (basically anything small and round) go through the opening fine. But anything larger or flat, like Frosted Mini Wheats, Raisin Bran, or Cinnamon Toast Crunch, gets stuck and only a few pieces come out. So we have to totally open the containers to pour. This is not a deal breaker, but is a slight design flaw that the company may want to address in future versions of this product. ... show more

I am thrilled with this set of containers! They are the ones in the middle row, I also purchased a smaller size (top row, here's the link if anyone is interested: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0828ZHBLF/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o03_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1). They're made of sturdy plastic, and the lids snap very securely and easily! I loved that the seller also included a dry erase marker, chalk marker, and labels, they were a huge help and a nice gesture. I have recently had a problem with bugs that were in a pack of rice, and wanted to keep them from getting into my other grains and flours. I have a set of OXO's from Costco that I love, but it would cost a fortune to buy enough to fill up my cupboards, so I turned to Amazon for an alternative. These are just perfect! A great size for a family of two's grains and cereals, airtight (I tested by filling with water and the lids didn't leak!), and the lids snap very securely and easily! I loved that the seller also included a dry erase marker, chalk marker, and labels, they were a huge help and a nice gesture. I do wish that the containers were not tapered at the bottom, as it wastes some storage space, but I have the room so it's not a huge issue for me, and if necessary we could flip every other container upside down to fit more, it just wouldn't look as neat. Also, these containers are not quite crystal clear like my OXO's, but definitely clear enough to see what you need! Since I bought two sets, I have more than enough containers to fit my cereals and anything new that comes in, and my pantry looks just beautiful! They come with little labels that you can write on so you can see what is in them awesome. And they also come with measuring spoons. I just can't say enough about this product.
