This general purpose gravity feed spray gun uses high volume, low pressure (HVLP) for high output with lower over-spray. This style of spray gun is better for the environment and also helps you save money on material costs. The (HVLP) spray gun features include an adjustable fan pattern and volume control. Just tried it out. You do need quite the powerful compressor to make it work. My compressor can keep around 30PSI consistently while I spray and that works with this one. The container is a bit small, and you do go through the paint quite quickly and refilling it is a bit hard since you need to keep the handle up. I can see it getting a bit heavy if you get a bigger container. Cleaning - Super simple, I just put water in my container and spray until most of it is gone. Then I take the parts out and wipe them down. I did not go through the 'required' pre clean steps before my first use and encountered no issues. ... show more

    • Perfect for Ceramic Glazes
This is probably the 5th or 6th sprayer I've bought of this brand and model. I work as a ceramic tech in a community college and this is the go-to sprayer for glazes. I love them. They don't last a really long time but I use it hard, probably several times a week! Considering I've gotten more expensive sprayers but I keep going back to this one, that says a lot. Sprays well for ceramic glazes. You can adjust for pretty fine and pretty heavy. I tend to go for the heavier application. Make sure you sieve first and water the glazes down somewhat. That's why you can spray them heavy! Handy Hints: After cleaning by spraying water through, take off the plastic cup, turn it upside down and hit the metal against something forcing any extra glaze out. You'll be surprise how much comes out of your clean(!) sprayer! Once your done with that, add water and blow it out - yes, just pucker and blow! Store it apart so it dries out quickly. It will rust inside pretty fast if you don't. Do not put in a plastic bag! ... show more

    • Doesn't come with disassembly wrench... and first thing they tell you to do is disassemble it.
I haven't yet used this. I read the manual (where I learned it purposely does not include a disassembly wrench... but says you must first disassemble and clean). Everything was very tight. I had to use channel locks to loosen the first part... which should have been finger tight. I had to fabricate a wrench to remove the next part (and wasn't successful... it couldn't be tighter if they used lock-tight). I looked for a wrench on Amazon. Found one for nearly twice the price of this gun... and that was the cheapest one. Noticed it was a Harbor Freight product so checked them for a wrench. Didn't find it but did discover it costs $14 there. You win some, you lose some. I was just trying to save on using spray cans for a small job. ... show more

I'm giving this gun a 5 star review as of now. It arrived on time, and undamaged. However, it was shipped in the OEM box, and the box was crushed on one end. (Probably slammed around and drop kicked by UPS.) Haven't had a chance to put it through it's paces, but it seems to be pretty durable at first look. All parts are metal, except for the cup itself, which is made of a transparent plastic, and makes it easier to judge your paint level than having the traditional metal cup. All the head parts, pattern adjuster, and air adjuster knobs are also metal. It does have nylon seals in the head. My old DeVilbliss spray gun has an all plastic head and pattern adjuster parts in comparison to this unit. I'll update my review once I get the free time to test it out. ... show more

This pig gun was tested by me that I’m a professional, and I could say that it had too many defects and all of a sudden start not working. It was clogged, even though I filtered the paint, the clear or whatever I use it, for it was a terrible experience buy something of more quality and you’ll be better off, thank you for letting me let everybody know about this lousy pain ... show more
