The top is light pink & magenta underneath, so I went with the light pink & hot pink colors. My color is still extremely vibrant. I apply it & scrub my hair for about 30 seconds, then rinse with cool water. It smells pretty nice, but it WILL stain your hands a bit and also leaves behind color in the tub. Hand stains don’t last long at all- I just scrub my hands with a soapy washcloth & it seems to take it off my palms. Bleach cleaner should do the trick for any tub stains as long as the surfaces you have aren’t porous. ... show more

I have been coloring my hair for years, and my hairdresser introduced me to this brand. I wouldn't wash my hair with anything else. It keeps the color looking bran new and a little goes a long way, it doesn't suds up so don't panic, that's probably due to the amount of pigment in it. Only slight drawback is that the dark colors like blue and purple tend to stain the ends of my fingers/around finger nails as if I just did my hair myself without gloves. so i at first i dyed my hair using brad mondo super red hair dye. obviously with any vivid color it fades. i waited 2 weeks and started looking washed out. i was curious to see how well it worked. and it works GREAT. if i would not of intentionally allowed it to fade it would of held more color, but for my own expirmenting purposes i wanted to see how well it works with faded hair i used the shade:Red on hair that was bleached and dyed previously. the pictures speak for themselves! ... show more

The product itself is great. It has a thick consistency with no harsh smells nor did it stain my hand but again I purchased for a Golden blonde finished. I am sure the richer and deeper the color is, it will most likely stain your hands or shower. Like I said love the product did not cause me any dryness or straw like hair. I did wash my hair with regular shampoo first and then left the product sit for 5min like instructed and condition it like normal. The only thing I hate is how small the bottle is for the price. I got this product in brown diamond - it works - but the color is a very very warm brown and almost looks caramel/ auburn in direct sunlight. If that’s what you’re going for it’s great. However the formula left my hair feeling very straw like and dry unfortunately.
