Our daughter gave this coloring book as a gift to her classmates at a 6 year old birthday party. Just fluttering through the pages to look at the images and making sure they were all appropriate and inserted in the book correctly I was pleasantly surprised with the high quality of the white paper and with the cute pictures. This books did not have cohesive illustrations throughout. It almost seemed as if they just stole caticorn images from a whole bunch of different coloring books. Some of them I really liked and were great for my daughter who is turning 6, but some we more geared toward toddlers and some were VERY intricate like you'd find in adult coloring books. Overall, it made no sense to me. The one thing I did like about it is that the paper was decent and one-sided since my daughter likes to color with markers. ... show more

My 5 year old kids really enjoy this coloring book. The paper is a nice weight, the drawings are perfect for their coloring skills, and they are single-sided so it doesn't matter if they use markers (they do bleed through). My only nitpick, and it's kind of a big deal, is the pages are not perforated. My kids want to tear the pictures out to color them, and it's nigh on impossible to tear them out neatly. Every picture has a raggedy edge where it's been torn out, and sometimes the picture itself tears. This does not make for happy kids. If the pages were perforated, it would be perfect. ... show more

I bought this for my niece (6 years old) who loves cats and unicorns, and she enjoyed it. There is a fun mixture of characters to color, but I wish the pictures were more complex or detailed. Many of the pages are just a single character with no or a very plain background. It would be okay for a child/person who likes drawing their own background and extra details, but it otherwise leaves a lot of blank space. The pages are singled sided, so that's good for those who like to remove and display the pages. However, I wish there were more pages to color. I was looking for things to create a road trip activity basket for 2 girls (10 and 7). To my surprise, a caticorn coloring book actually exists! I put this and other coloring books along with coloring pencils and a sharpener in a craft caddy basket with pockets to easily hold the pencils filled with snacks. ... show more
