This book has some of the most beautiful illustrations in a book. It’s such a sweet bedtime book. My children, who are adults now, had this book when they were little. Lots of wonderful memories reading it to them at bedtime and now I’m reading to my grandson. One of my all time favorite books!

My oldest daughter loved having this book read to her at night, and our other two kids enjoyed it as well. Recently I caught our ten-year-old looking at it, as we keep it around for when we have little ones over. The rhythmic words are so sweet and flowy. The story is a wonderful bedtime read for children from baby through youth. I give this book to everyone I know who is having a baby. I hope it brings them much joy for years to come!

    • Wonderful, calming, bedtime book
I am trying to establish a bedtime routine for my 4 month old. I want him to have bedtime cues to help him get to sleep better. Bedtime stories are the last part of my routine. I looked for some great bedtime books to add to the rotation. This was one of Amazon's "Customers who bought this item also bought" recommendations. I couldn't beat the price (less than $4) and it looked cute. So I have my louder, funny book The Going-To-Bed Book that I read first. This is the quiet one and the last one I read right before putting him in his crib. The book is really cute, my 9 year old daughter snuggles up to us and enjoys the book also. I love the rhymes and the flow of the book, it's easy to read in a quiet, calming voice. It is fun to read and there's just the right amount of words to picture ratio for very little ones. The pictures aren't anything super spectacular, but they are decent. They aren't very bright, so I think it helps calm him down (although at this point everything is speculation). My favorite baby good night story book. I loved reading it to my grandkids. I have given copies as gifts many times. This version is a good one. Hard cover storybook quality. Great for gift giving.
