These are the first pair of steel toe shoes in five years I have owned that don't hurt my big toes. I work 12 hour shifts in a factory and my feet feel just dandy. Plenty of room in the toe box with the wide size. I also wear arch support orthotics under my insole so I can't attest to the comfort of the insole alone. They stay on just fine and you don't have to worry about tying laces. They look sleek as well. Would wear them outside of work if a non-steel toe version exists. ... show more

I have used safety shoes in the job for over 40 years. I ordered these shoes based on the specs and other customer reviews. I tend to wear a size 10 to 10.5 depending on the shoe. Over the years I have found a wider shoe helps prevent foot discomfort because my job requires I am on my feet on concrete for 10+ hours per day. I ordered a size 10 W, and found them to be comfortable right out of the box. There are also a light-weight shoe for a safety shoe, much lighter than my Red Wing safety shoes. My 1st pair of safety shoes were Red Wing safet boots, that lasted 20+ years. I cannot say these Cat safety shoes will last that long. ... show more

I bought these boots in July to replace my other work boots that didn't last 6 months(got holes in bottom of shoe). In July after wearing these boots for a couple of days I fell in love with them. They are comfortable, light, durable, and tough, but September rolls around and now I have holes at the bottom of the boots!! I work as a diesel mechanic and thought that these boots were great until it rained and my socks were soaked and wet. I had to work the rest of my shift(8 hours) with wet feet! I would love to return these boots but its past time and now I have to spend another hundred plus dollars on boots!!! ... show more

I read these run large. To get a size or even two smaller than your standard shoe. Completely not true in my case. I will purchase a different size and update later.
