    • Bad Caster No Saw Stop support
I assembled the cast iron table and base frame. The assembly went well the caster lift did not. I assembled the caster system per the instructions. (As another reviewer mentioned my instructions were missing). The caster lift does not lock. It only works when my foot is on the pedal. I called Saw Stop and explained the problem. I was told to go through Amazon and get a new table. I do not want a new table. I do not want to disassemble the table and ship it back and assemble the replacement.     • Awful Product and Customer Service
Upon assembly I found that the table was crowned more than 0.02" over 24". When I contacted SawStop about this I was told that it was within the spec'd 0.015" deviation. Since when is 0.02 less than 0.015? The table is crowned so much that the fence flexes and bends when you tighten it down. The crown makes this a pretty useless product when it comes to cutting joinery. I bought this assuming that the engineers over at SawStop could produce a well made, flat table and a reliable lift. The fence is awesome as well as the fabulous cast iron top. I’m very happy with those items. The stand is nice, however the caster system is almost useless. The pedal will not lock into place to allow moving the unit. There is also not enough leverage to lift the unit high enough off the floor. For the price of this product, the caster system is fairly cheesy. Not worthy of having “SawStop” logo on it. I know the caster is not the main focus of this item but it’s important to me. We have a mid-sized shop and our equipment needs to be mobile. I will be upgrading the middle caster and replacing it with one made by a different mfg. this will add an additional $100 to my cost. My table was also missing the owner’s manual but SawStop is sending me one out. The other reviewer mentioned that the hardware was laid out on a well organized card with reference to location. However, my hardware was loose in bags. Sawstop said this particular item does not have the nicely organized and color-coded blister pack that comes with their saws. I was a little disappointed with that. Due to the poorly engineered caster system, I cannot give this a 5-star rating. I hope SawStop will improve on the caster design in the future. I am still waiting for my Dust Collection box and Lift to arrive so I haven’t gad a chance to use the table yet. The fence and cast iron top seem to be high quality and well-engineered. I got my router table and lift all assembled and it is great! I still am not satisfied with the caster system for moving this table around. At this price point, the mobile base should work very well with no issues. I had to upgrade my center caster by adding one from a Dewalt planer stand to it. This also required adding a 1-1/2" square tube for mounting the caster. This new caster works great. It lifts the table high enough off the floor that it rolls freely and the pedal locks into position until It is released with a toe. I believe SawStop should upgrade this part of their table. I don't like saying anything negative about SawStop because I am truly a big fan. However, at this price, the center caster is unfit. I have included photos of my upgrade. If it was designed from the start, the leveling feet could be installed in the square tube for a little bit sleeker look. However, I had to work with what I had. The main thing is, I got the better caster installed and it works. This added some cost to my table but I can move it around properly now. ... show more

    • Finally a well engineered product, thank you Saw Stop
This product exemplifies a product that someone thought through in every detail. The packaging was right, the hardware was preorganazed on a well marked card and referenced to the instructions, the instructions were contained in a easy to use spiral notebook, this is a class act. The fit and finishes on the table and casting are excellent, the grinding work on the cast iron top is flat and smooth and the mill work is nicely done. As a journeyman tookmaker for thirty plus years I get excited when products are held to high quality standards. Nice work SawStop ! ... show more
