My cat had fun with this for maybe the first few days. I think it would have kept her occupied when she was a kitten. She’s almost 2 now and looses interest in most things pretty quickly. The suction cup worked great at first, but after so many paw swipes, once it was done it was done. But did like that it came with several attachments. Needed a active interactive toy for my foster kitten who wants to play constantly and I just can't. When I got this and put it up he began playing and literally played with it for 3 hours. He was to the point of panting and passed out asleep He loves this thing and plays with it for extended periods every day. I still play with him too, as the human interaction is important for fosters to be socialized, but if I'm not available, he has this toy. I will never be without one now. May even become something I have to send to homes with each of my foster kittens when they are adopted. ... show more

    • IT LOSES ITS SUCTION AFTER AWHILE

Now that I've had this toy for several months, it is difficult to get it to stay upright because it loses the suction easily. I've followed instructions and cleaned the bottom off from time to time when it would fall, but now it won't stay up long at all. On a positive note, my male kitty absolutely loves it...he jumps a lot and he also uses the metal stem to rub his face on. So I hope I can figure out how to make the suction work. ... show more

REVISED: Zelda Moon loved this wand toy, easy to snap together, reactive to her movement, swayed with just a tap, she fly thru the air, tackle the flying bird, sometimes getting it under her but the metal wand sways back upright upon release, teasing her to reengage. Suction is strong but I added moisture to it & put it on tiled floor which allowed her to slide on the floor during her battles. Clearly part of the joy. I now know what others meant by plastic piece breaking...my granddaughter tripped over Zelda Moon who held on to the wire & bird. The wand broke off at insertion point. She's very small for her breed bu so it's not due to her weight. I have tried off & on for days to get the plastic broken tip part out of base but haven't succeeded. Without that, I can't put the secondary wand in. I don't get know whether I'll purchase it again. She played several hours a day during the week she had it & tho it's been over a week since it broke, she still is mourning it. Refuses to play with the second one or any of the other fishing rods she loved before. Poor little girl sits beside the wand & will periodically chew us out for taking her toy away. She even turns her back if I try to sidetrack or talk to her as tho it's private. It's clearly my fault, After all, I take the toilet paper, the straws, the make up brush...& try to engage her with something from her toy chest. She loved the autonomous jumping, tackling, missing, sliding, then bringing the feathered bird down, ravaging it, & losing it....over & over & over. Despite the inevitable happening (the toy snapped in the base), this is BY far the MOST fun my cats have had independently! I love this thing so much, as soon as my first came I went and bought two more! The suction is super sturdy, hasn't budged once. Love that it comes with three attachment feather bird toys and an extra wand as I have a bunch of cats and they all want a piece of this toy. I haven't attempted to remove the broken piece on the first toy yet but hopefully needlenose pliers or a corncob poker can do the job. Regardles of that, I still am a HUGE fan of this just don't expect it to last a long time. ... show more

Had it a week and my cat broke it already. Cannot get the wand out of the base to replace with other one. So doesn’t stand up well to bigger cats. He did enjoy it while it lasted though.
