This toy is so much easier on the eye than the plastic rings. The top ring is well designed and you can snag the ball out for play, if you’d like. My only issue is the finish quality - the wood is rough and has splinters coming off. I’ll be running to the hardware store for sandpaper before I let the boys play with it more. ... show more

We wanted one of those ball/pyramid toys - but all of them looked flimsy and child toy-like, and were crazy colors. After scrolling and scrolling through choices, this one appeared and it looked perfect. Received it -- the packaging was minimal and carefully thought out. The assembly instructions are well written and straight forward. The feline brigade had it figured out and were batting the balls around their circles in just a few minutes. It's only been a day, but cats being cats one never knows what will keep their attention. So far, they keep returning to it....taking turns. It is noisy, but that's part of the fun. The design is simple and attractive - fantastic for anyone who's looking for toys that compliment one's decor. Will definitely be purchasing other items from this seller! ... show more

Overall satisfied with this purchase. I have a few ball toys and the cats are always stealing the ball and getting it lost then crying for me to find it so opted for this because it looked like it would be harder for the ball to come out and so far it seems to be the case. I did run into a slight issue threading one of the sleeve nuts it got caught partway into the process and had to vice grip it while using the Allen to get it off then put it back on, but the second time around it went on fine but sometimes those kinds of things happen and aside from that 2 min detour assembly was very intuitive and smooth. I do recommend using a second Allen while tightening the second sleeve nut on it makes the process quicker. This could do with more of a finish sand on it than the one given but having looked at the actual photos before purchasing this I knew this was how it was coming so it is as advertised. Personally I opted to use some leftover stain and sealant that I had in the garage to give it a slightly different visual appearance and help make it last longer. This is just my personal preference but if you have some laying around and your handy It wouldn't hurt to add that optional layer of protection and give it a color of your choice. ... show more

The only reason I gave 4 stars is the cat is easily able to pull the balls out the track. Then she proceeds to throw them under my couch. At least it’s just as easy to pop them back in the track. I have a Maine Coon, it keeps her entertained and she likes it

This ball track is AWESOME and our little Maisie loves it! So much better than the lightweight, cheap plastic versions you usually see. This is fun, durable, and the wood balls make a pleasant sound as they spin around the track. The wood is solid and smooth and assembly is easy. There are even little rubber feet on the bottom to keep it from sliding around or scratching the floor. The only downside is that the wood was a bit warped - we had to do some significant sanding to make the pieces fit perfectly to ensure the balls stay in the track and can't be extracted by smart kitties. It was totally worth a little extra work to have a solid, well-made toy that our little girl loves (and that looks nice sitting out in our living room!) ... show more

    • My kitten loves this toy.
I bought this toy for my 2 month old kitten, Hannibal. We’ve had it almost 6 weeks, he plays with it constantly. The only issue we had was putting it together, don’t completely tighten either end until both have their nuts tightened little by little.
