  • Very nice toy
My cat loves this very colorful toy. It’s well made and the added bonus that’s it’s non toxic and made in USA is a big deal! I’d absolutely recommend this cat toy!

  • Absolute BEST cat toy!
This is my favorite cat toy of all time. I've had these since my first kitty in the 90's and I'll always have one as long as I have cats. My cats have always loved this toy and it's a staple in their arsenal. Have even seen this product on a list of Best Toys for Cats, so a lot of folks seem to agree with my sentiment. I appreciate how much it encourages them to exercise and use their hunting skills, while letting me interact with them. One of my cats was primarily outdoors and had no shortage of hunting opportunities on live prey, yet would "ask" me to play with her using the Cat Dancer. It was what she looked forward to when I came home. That memory makes me nostalgic because she was my first cat, over 20 years ago and this was perhaps the first cat toy I ever purchased. In terms of product details - This toy is well constructed. I've never had one fall apart, despite heavy play and a lot of STRONG pulling. The pole is light and slightly flexible, but has never even hinted at snapping. I don't know how the string is attached but it is superior because after reading reviews of the cheap imitation (I was tempted by the lower price), those toys come right apart at the junction. I've never had that happen with the real thing and have owned several of these in my time. The elastic string makes for even more fun than a plain elongated streamer because it snaps back and acts in ways a non-stretchy material wouldn't. My cats, like all kitties, enjoy this added element of the unexpected and a further opportunity to chase. The only possible flaw (and it's a small one) is that the string has sometimes frayed a little. It doesn't unravel like a ribbon. It's more like my cat's teeth or claws puncture the stretchy material and pull a tiny piece out. This little bit then stretches and is like a spider web hanging off the main string. I just cut it off with scissors and that's it. It doesn't continue to come apart and I can't even tell where the original piece came out from. Even if I left it as is, I'm pretty sure it wouldn't cause any issues or that my cat would care. Maybe it would make the string a little less aerodynamic so it wouldn't fly through the air quite as fast? Still not a huge issue, I'm just a tad OCD. In short: awesome, awesome product. I truly hope they never stop making these because I would be extremely sad. There's no way I could make something similar this well, but I would try and inevitably be disappointed. So keep buying these so they never go out of business. You wouldn't want me to be sad, would you? ... show more

  • Good quality but diff color
Feels sturdy and is made well, but was not rainbow color as pictured. It s blue leopard print (photo). Thankfully, our picky cat did not mind the switch, and is content. But beware. I know some cats are suprisingly picky about colors (ex: ours does not like pink haha).

  • Carpet Sliding
My cat is profoundly weird as it is possibly the only cat who doesn't go nuts over a laser pointer, so toys for him are a little hard to come by. But this toy is practically a worship object for him. He ADORES this thing. He goes crazy when I bring it out, and he has started to find all my hiding spots, so he drags it out all on his own to play with it. I make sure I pin it down with something heavy if I leave the room. This is a supervised toy. You'd think a stick with a string wouldn't be that fascinating, but when I slide it tantalizingly across the ground in agonizing slow motion, he literally can't stand it. Must. Attack. Now. He pounces so hard he invented carpet sliding. His record is about a foot. This is a great little toy, because it is made from soft (super soft) felt, so you don't have to feel bad if you whack your cat (or an innocent bystander). It's sort of like a whip, so this is bound to happen. Actually, my cat prefers to get hit in the face with it. It just slides over his head between his ears, and he flips over on his back in a frantic lunge. Must Bite. Must Chew. Must Annihilate! It's seriously adorable to watch. The plastic stick on the end is really light weight, so your arm doesn't get tired until about the hour mark. Extended playtime. Concerns about tangling and knotting can be cast aside. My cat enjoys getting tangled up in it and just laying down with it around him, but the felt slides. Just a little tug and the network of string he's created around his paws comes undone without any knotting. Again, though, this is a supervised toy. I would not recommend leaving your cat alone with it. It is hard to get tangled permanently because of the slipping felt (a great, great feature), but there is the chance (however remote) it can wrap around the cat's neck. So if you let him play with it by himself just keep a close eye. The only problem I have found is my cat has all of his claws, so occasionally he snags one of them in the fabric. The problem fixes itself, though, because of the sturdiness of the felt. It is a tight, sturdy material, so there's no fraying to make the snag permanent. When snagging does happen, my cat has figured out he's just digging in too hard, so he lets go. Nothing actually gets stuck stuck, just caught for a split second. Not only is the felt sturdy, but so is the stick it's attached to. The string is attached with a rubber cover piece, and my cat has yanked on it for all he's worth. The thing hasn't budged. This toy is going to last for a long time. All in all, it is amazing and totally worth the price. A must buy for any cat owner. You will get hours of entertainment. ... show more
