Top Amazon Reviews

  • From a Pro, Impressive.
Style: WK6600 Configuration: Keyboard & Power Supply
Casio has finally got into the game with this board, especially for the price. I own Roland, Moog, Peavey DPM488, and Korg. This is 1/3 the price with a huge Bang. This is NOT for the Faint Hearted by any means. And is not a beginner keyboard unless your willing to learn of course. The Manual is well versed, and is detailed, which in itself makes life a little easier. Hats off Casio on that one for sure. To my surprise, Casio use to be well known for fuzz on any high AMP output, you could here the hiss in the background ,NOT THIS ONE... that started off my Great venture with this keyboard. 2000 Watts and no Hiss ! Again Impressive. Fender AMPs, and One Peavey Sub-Amp Bass head, still no hiss. Onwards...Ignore the bad reviews, Are you Kidding me with that ? Most of the voices are outstanding, and can be re-written with either a Chorus and/or Reverb attached to it, and SAVED for your first choice. The DSP is wide, and universal, holy cow batman. Casio, you have re-vamped my thinking now with your keyboards, and the Price is beyond me.......This is a great deal, and has replaced one of my Moog Boards as a stand alone keyboard. Cons , like everything else there are a few, the display is not as sharp, but hey for 300 bucks, I could care less. One thing missing that would ROCK this board, a jack for a foot switch for changing the voices etc. Bottom Line, I love this for the price and again the manual is a Huge Help Casio. Well done. ... show more

  • NOT A BEGINNER KEYBOARD
Style: WK7600 Configuration: Keyboard & Power Supply
Please see product comparison images Pros: - Relatively affordable for a keyboard that has this many features. - Improvement on sound quality over its predecessors - AC Power adapter included with option to run off DC (batteries) - Quiet 76 Key Keyboard - note: as per online reviews, early production of this model may be noisy - Key weight decent, less than that of a piano - Ease of connectivity - MIDI to PC (host) via USB - Audio record to SDHC Card 1/4 inch jack support - Phones - Separate L/R Audio out - Mic In (Record) with Mic volume control - Instrument in (Record) - Sustain (default) Assignable Jack 3.5mm (1/8th inch) Jack -Audio in (stereo) - Plug your mini cube radio, mp3 player, or similar devices, ie phone/iPad headphone out into keyboard via a male to male audio cable to listen to and play along (devices and audio cable not included) Cons: - The WK 7600 DOES NOT HAVE Built in song and Lesson System which consist of: -> Library of 100 built-in Songs - The WK only has 5 demo songs -> Step-Up Lesson system - not available on this product line -> Display showing proper fingering and notation. - the WK is incapable of providing this information and/or feedback. - Sustain Pedal not included (recommend midiplus SP-2 Sustain Pedal at $10.80 at the time of this review) - 1/4 inch to 1/8th inch (3.5mm) headphone jack adapter not included - glossy black finish - a matte finish would have been preferable to reduce glares - Small font with dull white/grayish color difficult to read in low light - Chordana app interface not supported - Cloth on speaker covers draws dust and dirt, (keep a NEW soft bristle toothbrush handy to clean dust/lint off) Summary: All in all I am pleased with my purchase. While this is not a Beginner Keyboard, a beginner could start with this keyboard and not outgrow it for years to come. I do regret that the WK-7600 does not have the Step-Up Lesson feature (as listed at the time of my purchase). For me, this feature was an incentive and enticed me to buy the WK-7600. And, although the WK series do not offer Step-Up and Play feature, I believe I've made the right choice. For me, this keyboard will provide years of fun and entertainment. If you are looking strictly for a beginner keyboard, Casio has many options. Consider the LK (Lighted Keys) or the CTK line of Casio keyboards that A) Have the Step-Up Lesson Feature and/or B) are compatible with Free Chordana Play app for Android and iOS. ... show more

  • Lightweight, Good Edit Capabilities, Some 'synthesizer' functions, not Casio's 'best' keyboard
Style: WK7600 Configuration: Keyboard & Power Supply
- Pros: 76-keys with good functionality, some 'create" functionality with Tone Editor, and adding 'Effects" to a Tone, Good Storage for Tone & Rhythm settings edited to your liking. Good, fun variety of organ sounds, piano sounds, good functionality for price. - Cons: Keyboard may be somewhat stiff if accustomed to older acoustic piano, even when the least amount of keyboard tension is selected. Wide variety of instrument sounds but various levels of quality. Returned primarily because of the keyboard. Might eventually consider another pedal for the 'sustain' pedal function though the included footswitch/pedal works for the 'sustain' pedal function. - After add'l searching & research found Casio Privia PX-560, costs more about $1200, weighs more (about 27 lbs), but better for piano-oriented player, Casio's 'best' keyboard, 88 hammer-action textured keys, better interface & sound. But the Casio Workstation 7600 a good value and fun, lightweight (about 17 lbs), 76-keys. ... show more
