  • A truly awesome Casio pro trek! Just love the dial design and features.
Color: Black Style: PRG600-1CR
In my personal opinion, this is the best Casio Pro Trek that I have ever owned. I am a big fan of Casio Pro trek & G-shock and I just can not get them enough, even though I already have so many of them. This is one of the very best ones that I have ever owned in my life. First of all, I only paid $189.00 (when similar ones are selling at $279 or so) and I just love how easy it is to read the dial. I love the design and also it has so many useful features and functions that basically it can do it all. I really like the Solar feature, so I do not have to change battery at all and it is big enough (47mm) for my wrist (7.4 inches) and it fits perfectly. The resin band is so comfortable (one of the most comfortable resin bands from Casio) and it uses 24mm band, so I can easily switch up with other 24mm bands. Awesome Casio Pro trek and I have absolutely no complain what so ever. ... show more

  • Don't believe a review about battery issues.
Color: Black Style: PRG600-1CR
Too bad Amazon stopped allowing us to comment on reviews. Today's most popular review complains about a "LOW BATT" indicator, but he also states he uses the auto-light feature that illuminates the watch with a rotation of the wrist. That is the cause, and that feature should come with a warning from Casio. Avid outdoorsmen/boys, my sons and I all wear Casio three-in-one watches. One son's watch went through a LOW BATT episode. Since his was identical to the one I wore at the time we tried swapped watches, but since this didn't help, we knew it wasn't a user issue. I compared settings and found the only difference to be the auto-light active on my son's watch, and that turned out to be the problem. I turned it off and problem solved. We traded back and now more than a year later both watches are going strong, although mine is now strapped to the arm of another son. Those are the PRG-270 by the way, an excellent and bargain-priced watch -- especially when you can find it new from Amazon for under $90, as I did back in March of 2017. I don't know why Casio watch prices vary so much on Amazon, from Amazon as the seller. To wit: I paid $139 for this, my PRG-600, just over a year ago in June of 2020 but today it's listed for $189. It's worth $189; I was shocked when I stumbled upon it at the $139 price that was not any kind of deal, lightning or otherwise. I love this watch. It is thick and heavy, but I'm a middle-aged man who was born wearing a man's watch, so I'm used to it. I had a Swatch back in the 80s and I've had an ultralight dress watch or two but honestly, give me something I can feel, something I know is on my wrist. This does that and it looks great, too, but it doesn't scream money, so I'm not afraid to wear it in a questionable neighborhood. Typical or not I don't know, but my copy is not as accurate as other Casio watches I've had. Still, it it's not bad. It has lost a total of 26 seconds since I bought it, including 16 seconds between the last I set it in November of 2020 and today, July 23, 2021. (I set it to an atomic clock and make a note in my phone's calendar every time I set a watch, noting how far off it is.) This one might not be as accurate as my other Casios, but it is at least consistent. And two seconds per month isn't bad -- I've had much worse. When I was a kid I'd have been delighted with a watch accurate to two seconds per day. The only other caveat for you to consider is this PRG-600 uses the stem to set time and other functions, in a process that is not intuitive. You will not be able to adapt your experience setting Casio digital watches to setting this. I cannot say whether older digital-analog watches used similar procedures because this is my first triple sensor digital-analog watch. I suggest downloading a user's manual from Casio's website. It's free, and as with any Casio watch, to get the right manual you need only the four-digit module number that's engraved on the back of the watch. On this one it's 5497. Overall this is a nice watch with little to fault. Sure, it could be a bit thinner, and despite my earlier comments, a skosh lighter. I'd like it to have a feature to unblock the digital display from any mode, not just modes that require the display (maybe with a long-press of a button). And of course atomic accuracy would be nice, but that comes with an increased price I cannot justify. At this price point this watch can't be beat. ... show more

  • Geat watch. Perfect time keeping..
Color: Black Style: PRG600-1CR
This watch is big -- like something Flavor Flav might hang around his neck (maybe not quite that big), but it is light weight and feels good on the wrist. The design is attractive, the dial is easy to read, and so is the LCD panel. The panel is of the "positive" type, meaning dark characters against a light background. I stay away from Casio watches with the negative digital displays. They are nearly impossible to read in anything other than bright light. I synchronized this watch to the time on the U.S. National Institute of Standards website when I got it more than one month ago and checked it against that time signal yesterday. It may have been off by one second, but that also may be because I was off by a little bit when originally setting it. I have Casio watches that use the WWVB time signal out of Ft. Collins, Colorado to synchronize every night, but given the tme keeping accuracy of this watch, the radio signal/atomic clock time setting really provides no advantage except for initially setting the time. I charged this watch in sunlight outside and also through a window for a couple of days when I first received it, and it has never dropped below a full charge just with daily wear. The band is silicon, so it is softer than the resin bands and is a bit more flexible and comfortable. ... show more

Fins, I’m a entire Army Infantry NCO and I’m picky about what watch I wear since it has to be tough. I bought the same model as in this listing but a friend of mine really wanted it so we did a horse trade and I bought a replacement for $182 in the used/renewed category recently. This watch is very comfortable to wear and it very durable and resistant to scratches. I prefer “stand alone” technologies instead of something requiring wi-fi to access its main functions. Always having a back up compass and other features is something I love on these ABC watches. I’m in my mid 50’s and this watch doesn’t look weird or huge on my wrist as some may think. I swapped the OD green wrist band for another OD green wristband I bought off of Amazon, it’s just has a little more heft to it but the original band is perfectly fine. Like most men my age, I prefer an analog watch face with larger dials so it’s easier to read in low or, no light environments or if I’m not wearing my glasses, lol. The lowest price for this model is on Amazon, eBay sells these for around $250-$330 which still isn’t bad but I prefer to look for a cheaper price. Once the inventory of this model are sold out, the prices will climb dramatically on re-sale websites so I suggest you get one….or two now so you can save some money in the long run since the inventory is starting to dry up. Setting and adjusting the watch is simple, the “smart dial” allows for direct time setting instead of spending a lot of time trying to find your own time zone. Next month I’m buying a PRG-650 to add to my collection of Casio Pro Treks since the price is still affordable on Amazon. You will not be disappointed! ... show more
