I purchased these to switch-up the look of my kitchen because I had a lot of company coming. They are lightweight, not overly big and really light up the space! I have not yet washed them, but they have the feel of pieces that will nicely survive a trip through the washer and dryer. They will probably keep their neat, bright look for a few years. I’m using this Buffalo check pattern throughout my kitchen and these rugs make a cute addition. They’re very soft and the shag pile isn’t too high (not like your 70’s shag 😂). I wish the smaller size were slightly bigger but when it’s a 2-piece set, it’s hard to please everyone. I have not washed these yet but when I do, it will be using cold water only on delicate or hand wash cycle. Overall, a good purchase especially for the price. ... show more

I really wanted to like these rugs but it just didn't happen. First off they immediately did a terrible job of sticking to the floor. They were constantly sliding around from day one. One of the things that appealed to me the most is the fact they were advertised as machine washable. But after the first or second time I put them in the wash, the backing started to tear apart. There were strips of it hanging lose. Eventually I just tore it off entirely to save the hassle of picking up bits of it from the washer/dryer/floor, which of course then made it entirely impossible to stay in place. On the plus side it made the rug grippers I bought to try to keep them in place a little more effective. I tried vacuuming them after that but struggled with that as well. Food bits manage to get really ground in, making it difficult to really clean them, plus you have to pull it really taught in order to effectively vacuum making for a bit of an interesting yoga-ish display. The rugs also stain easily. Damp coffee grinds and salsa gave them some "interesting" color enhancements. After a while I finally gave on trying with these things and just trashed them. ... show more
