  • DELIVERED AS PROMISED
Everything was outstanding. The book was exactly as described. Maybe better. The book arrived exactly as predicated. The quality exceed my expectations. I would certainly purchase anything from this seller again. Thank you!

  • Beautiful jacket, Looking forward to inspecting every page!
LOVE this book. A friend is an associate at a Cartier Boutique and he tells me this is his favorite Cartier catalogue. It just came in the mail today. Can not wait to study it. It is beautiful.

  • Overpriced and misrepresented
The book is lovely, but I paid new book price for a used book. Not going to return it since it is difficult to find. The vendor just should have been upfront that it was not new.

  • Still Amazing Collection for Its Age
I ordered this bok used and it came with exhibition guide, postcard and welcoming card. I believe the previous owner had visited the Cartier exhibition and bought this book as a supplement guide. This book published in 1997 in conjunction with the Cartier exhibition held at the Met Museum. Basically, this book is a museum catalog with many Cartier drawings archives and stories of the previous owners and the proses of executing orders or for stocks. It is like dwelling into Cartier's secret. The pictures are amazing and really capture the detail of the objects. However, this book is 20 years old so the pictures are not crisp, bright with plain white background Pinterest like. You can tell that this is old pictures, but the upside of not having crisp and fots of retouched pictures is you can really see the glow if the object still glowing and flaws if they are n moderate condition. Reality feel I would say. Why I gave this 5 stars? Had I bought this book two decades ago, this book would be amazing and ahead of its time. ... show more

  • Excellent photos and text!
This is the book to have if you're (mainly) interested in Art Deco pieces. The Art Deco was one of the most innovative periods of the 20th century and Cartier really showed the pieces at their best. I love the so-called "Tutti-Frutti" bracelets. Cartier really knew how to use the various cuts to its full potential and set in platina definately had a magical finish. Some pieces have had illustrous owners. When you buy this book, you are almost obliged to buy "Famous Jewellery Collectors", as these two books go practically hand in hand. Most of these famous collectors were very active (in buying) in the Art Deco period. ... show more

  • The book itself is a great book, and yes I'd recommend it
The book itself is a great book, and yes I'd recommend it. However it was stated that it was in "good" condition, however when it arrived it was in poor condition as it was very very worn and did not feel inviting to look through as it was so worn out and felt "sticky", that's why I am giving it only 3 stars. ... show more
