Ugh, I just love these. The color and the design are what first drew me in. They're a classic taupe color, and they have some white speckles that give them a bit of an elevated design. It goes perfectly with my kitchen décor, which brought me great joy. This specific set comes with almost every pot/pan size you need, including lids. Since we just moved into a new home, we wanted to upgrade to match our new style and have a sturdy set to last us a long time. This will definitely be the set to last! These are coated in a thick material (I do not know what it is - couldn't find any information to confirm I could only find information on what is NOT in the coating...like lead) that keeps them non-stick. They heat up fast, but the manufacturer does recommend not heating them empty, so I have been putting a smidge of water in the bottom when I initially heat them since it cooks right off, and then I'm ready to roll. The pots have little edges for easy pouring if you are cooking anything liquid. To me, that is a small add on that makes a big difference when cooking or serving! If you have an induction cooktop, I caution against these since they can scratch the stovetop due to the material/design on the bottom. Additionally, these pans/pots should not have metal utensils used with them. They are not dishwasher or oven-safe due to the coating/handles. If any of those are deal breakers, look elsewhere, but if you can cope, this is a lovely set at a really fair price! ... show more

This set is very complete and comes with all sizes you would use in a kitchen. This set has way more pieces than my old set. The ones I was were always getting food stuck to them. They were a tri-ply style of pan and pots. This set food slides right off the surface. Super easy to cook pancakes with. The coating is like a stone fleck look. They are easy to use and clean. They are suitable for pretty much all foods and dishes that you can think to cook. This set is large enough to cook for and host a whole party with. Unfortunately, there is a complete lack of information regarding if these might be suitable for use in an oven. Lots of warnings about what NOT to do, and amazingly enough, a warning that using these on an induction stove might scratch the pans, not the stove? These look nice, but about half of the cookware is sized for use in a studio or dorm. In other words, small. Shop at Ross or Marshals and get better for less. ... show more

I have other Carote brand pots with removable handles so when I saw these, I had to have them. These pots are not only attractive but super non-stick. We had an old and tired set of pans I was holding on to until our teenagers could respect cookware but it is time to change them out as they are no longer non-stick in any regard. Switching to this set of pans was a huge adjustment as these are so nice. They are heavyweight without being too heavy and cook evenly. Because of the non-stick surface cleanup is a breeze. We have been using them for over a week for multiple meals and haven't seen any discoloration in the coding. ... show more

This is a good looking set, the tan color is unusual yet blends in with the kitchen nicely. Cast aluminum is my favorite material as it is super lightweight, I personally do not like cast iron, which I find extremely difficult to handle when full or to wash in my double bowl sink due to their weight. I also love the PFOA/PTFE free coating. It is by no means as non-stick as the good ol' black Teflon, but I'm willing to settle for not have to swallow anymore Teflon. However, aside from Teflon, the "granite" looking interior also burns and sticks more than my ceramic coated pans, especially in higher heat. Things like spaghettis and breaded items would almost always get burnt or stick to the bottom, which I find can be removed easily if soaked in water for just a few minutes. However, it does mess up some cooking as the burnt pieces get mixed with non-burnt food. So greater care is needed when cooking with this set, and I recommend never exceed medium-high setting of the stove to avoid burnt food. Although the set comes with 5 pots, 3 pans, and 5 lids, the 4.5qt Dutch oven is about a quart too small for a box of spaghettis, while the 6" frying pan and the 2.2qt as well as the 1.6qt sauce pans are almost toy like and useless in my opinion, they are the type that just hog up cabinet space and never get used. With half the set basically unusable, it makes the $100 asking price even less attractive, therefore, I recommend shopping around and pay attention to the actual size of the included pieces for the best value. ... show more
