    • Problem with both self adjusters
I installed this kit on my 95 EB Bronco. All went well until the next week when the brake pedal went to the floor. Found both left and right self adjusters completely reversed themselves to a non adjusting state. In fact the right drum fell off as the tire was removed. The retaining plate does not prevent the adjuster gear from turning in either direction. So either the self adjuster gear and plate dont match or the cable is to long. Either way, have to tear it apart again as soon as I pick up the new parts. ... show more

Perfect for the drums on my 70 F100’s 9 inch rear. Super happy to get new self adjusters in this kit, especially given that the self adjusters, ordered separately, would have been as expensive as this entire kit. I noticed some bad reviews from those with 1997 F150’s, and here’s why: Ford produced TWO different F150’s for the 97 model year. One looks just like the 96 and older trucks (the 9th generation, dubbed “old body style”, or OBS), and the other looks just like the 98 and newer trucks (10th generation). Both are 1997 (they are NOT 1997 and 1997 1/2) as they were both produced at the same time. This kit WILL fit the 1997 OBS trucks, which are more square looking, but not the newer, more rounded looking 1997 trucks. If you have the more rounded looking truck, search for 1998 instead of 1997 to make sure you get the right parts. If you have an OBS, double check your parts by seeing if they fit 1996. If you aren’t sure which you have, Google F150 generations and see which your truck looks like. Hope this helps someone. ... show more
