Of course it came true to size and has the original carhartt tag. Thickness is that of a normal Carhartt hoodie. It's not super heavy but it is not thin either. The color is exactly what I ordered. I bought the regular fitting size medium for my dad (which is his normal size, he's 5ft tall btw) and it looked like a large, almost extra-large! I even had my husband (5 ft 5 inches tall), who is a large, try it on and it fit my husband just fine. My suggestion is to size down 1 size. Had to exchange for a smaller size. Great quality and thickness! Also somewhat oversized compared to other brands which meets the needs of slightly taller long armed people without having to go up to the big and tall sizes. Nice and soft and wash up wonderful without any shrinking.
