I love the textured area where I need to grab the bar. I installed this next to the outside door of the shop. Last winter we had snow/ice and the ramp to the door was slick. I stepped up at the top of the ramp to reach the door but had nothing to grab onto except the wall. This year it will be a piece of cake and I won't be worrying about falling.
