Replaced this arm from the original (which flew away during a wind storm). This one is more heavy duty than the original and it seems to function more easily. The one before jerked up and going down. We bought two awnings from this company- and they worked well until one needed service. The dealer in Apex North Carolina- does not answer calls- for service and phone messages and emails to the Eclipse factory are also ignored- do not buy an Eclipse awnings if you need repairs done,
