I did not expect a whole lot from a massage chair at this price point. I have used a kahuna for the past 5 years. I was looking for a chair that was attractive or at least more attractive than the average ugly massage chair. Putting the chair together— it did not seem like 8 screws was going to do it but it did. There’s a diagram but no actual instructions. I suggest you connect the two arms with the cross beam first. A second person is helpful to steady the piece while you are turning the screws. Took less than 15 minutes. The chair fabric and stitching are attractive. The chair feels sturdy. Cushioning is not great. It’s not a chair you are going to sink into. It’s a bit better than a lawn chair. The massage. — the back rollers go up and downs bit. It has a strong kneading and tapping mode. I have not figured out all the controls but it seems pretty flexible. You can turn off neck, or heat or any function. When kneading n neck, it makes a slight noise, but it’s not loud or distracting. The vibration is strong. The chair sits low and is small. It is not zero gravity. It does not rock very much. The seat leg part goes up and down manually which is awkward. If you have it in the up position and you want to get up from the chair, it’s a bit of a struggle to get it down because you have to raise it first to get the mechanism to bend down. Thus getting out of the chair takes a bit of maneuvering. I’m going to attempt more padding and pillows but the chair is too small for large pillows. As it stands, it’s fairly attractive and fairly functional. For the price, it’s worth it and a good alternative to portable massage pads. It’s sturdy. Getting out of the chair could be a problem for some. I keep hoping someone will make a really attractive full function massage chair. All in all, it’s a good place to start. If you just want the basic back and neck massage, this will do the trick. ... show more
