Designed to smoothly transmit torque at a constant speed, the Cardone Constant Velocity CV Axle Drive Shaft utilizes proprietary engineering processes to ensure they meet Original Equipment form, fit, and function. Neoprene boots are designed with additional bellows, when needed, to resist bellow stress and cracking, which is the leading cause of boot failure. The transmission seal diameter is precision-machined after heat treatment to ensure correct surface finish, promoting long seal life. High-quality grease withstands high- temperature and high-torque demands to ensure long-lasting, reliable performance. Boot clamps are pneumatically crimped, creating a perfect seal between the boot and housing. A new axle retaining nut is supplied with every drive shaft assembly for a hassle-free installation, due to the likelihood that the original retaining nut is worn or stripped. Additionally, all CV Axle Drive Shafts are individually verified for straightness, resulting in vibration-free performance at all speeds. Boot cracked in 6 month's and now I have black axle grease all over everything its worthless I should of spent the extra on a ac delco pretty much worthless cause now I'm in same deal I was in before install cause that was the reason why I changed it now another couple hrs for free

I had to tap the grease metal cover back in place because it was popped out upon delivery. The grease cover was the only issue I’ve had with this axle. I have put about 2.5k miles on it and so far it seems like it’s good quality, I have yet to see how it performs this winter in the snow and mud. Update: 4-15-23 Only lasted 9 months on my 2010 silverado. Do not buy this junk you will waste your money and your labor. Did not last through the winter. The second pic I posted on this review is an updated picture. You can see the rubber is cracking and it has begun to leak grease. Your get what you pay for!!!! ... show more
