I picked up this Cub Cadet riding mower with an L-Head 10.5 HP I/C Briggs and Stratton motor without a carburator. It took me a few tries to get the right carb - matching the engine model IS NOT ENOUGH! I ordered a NIKKI carb that had the right engine and carb part number from the parts manual, but the engine was starving for gas and hunting. This carb also matched on the primary carb model from the parts manual and the sub model (i.e. LMT-162, 165, 166). I had to snip a plastic nib off the choke actuator to clear the airbox, but then It started on the first crank and runs perfectly out of the box without further adjustment!

My Snapper lawn mower w/a Briggs and Stratton engine is 12 years old so I couldn't find any carbs that matched the engine model I have. So, after studying the vendor supplied pictures, I determined that this carb was as close to the OEM part as I was going to find. It fit perfectly to the Briggs and Stratton (Intek) 12.5 HP (344cc) engine. The throttle and choke linkage attachment points were exact. Started on the second pull and runs perfectly w/o any adjustments. My only complaint is that the two filters included with the carb have slightly smaller nipples than what is needed for the fuel hose, so they're unusable. Other than that, great value for the money.

This carb fit great and my Ariens riding mower starts with choke instead of having to use starting fluid like I did with Nikki carb.
