Without it I wouldn't have my car cover today. My car is in a condo parking lot during most work days, and came home yesterday to find someone had peeled the car cover back to the windshield. They peeled it back right to the point where the cable lock prevented further removal. It also works great when it's windy outside. I should say that I have a form fitting cover that is designed specifically for my car, which contributes to the snug fit. The cable lock prevents the cover from being blown off or stolen. I considered some others before my purchase, but went with this one because of the reasonable price, and because some others sounded like they were too short to be useful. The cable has got to be long enough to stretch from one side of the vehicle to the other. This is a useful item for a good price. I'm glad I bought it. I would have been happier if I'd been home when the would be thief tried to remove my car cover, but that's another story. ... show more
