I was having periodic problems with my car not starting. I got a jump from a jump start service who used this device. It worked great. He told me to take a photo of it and that I could get it on Amazon. I went to Amazon and bought it. A week later, the brand new battery I'd bought to replace a two year old battery, was dead. I used this to start it, it was so easy and so fast. Turns out my alternator was bad. . .they think. If it's still something else, I'm covered at least to get started and get to a service. I highly recommend this especially to women. You can easily jump start your car, all by yourself. No matter where you are. Do check it's level of power periodically to insure you have at least 50% charge when you need it. Seriously get this product. If I never use it again, that first simple jump after getting a new battery and the peace of mind it gives me is worth every penny. Since I don't drive my car a lot, the battery seems to die quite often. A couple weeks ago, I asked a neighbor for a jump start and he has a portable jump starter as well (a different brand). It worked so well, I decided to get one for myself. After reading the reviews on the J1200 vs the J2000, I decided the 1200 was probably enough for my needs. Yesterday I went out to start my car and the battery was dead again. I hadn't taken this out of the package yet or read the instructions, so I asked my neighbor again for a jump start. His jump starter was not successful in starting my car unfortunately so I thought maybe it was something else this time. I called AAA for a tow and while waiting decided to try my new J1200 just to see. What do you know!!! The car started right up! My neighbor was stunned because he has never had a problem starting his car with his jump starter. So I called AAA and cancelled the tow. The J1200 was only at 75% charge right out of the package and still had no trouble starting my car. The LED flashlight/strobe light/SOS light works really well too and the fact that you can charge devices on this as well is a bonus that I may have to use during hurricane season if we lose power. The price is great too and it's super light, compact and portable. I highly recommend this product! Update: A neighbor is taking care of a car for an out of town resident. The car hasn't been driven enough and the battery was totally dead. She tried to jump start the battery with her car and it didn't work. I hooked up the J1200, pushed the "boost" button and after a few cranks, it started right up. Only brought the charge down to 75%. I love this thing! ... show more

As a senior, single woman, this item is invaluable! I have a large SUV (4.7liter V8 Toyota Sequoia) and this works EVERY SINGLE TIME! I've used jumper cables all my life. They work great but stress me out using them. And if the cables don't reach, that presents a whole other problem. Then you need another vehicle..and the last thing I want is to be stuck by myself, after dark, alone and vulnerable. This jump pack (2000A) is amazing because it is super simple to use, no need for another vehicle and I never worry anymore about a dead battery. For the safety and convenience it is worth 10X the price. Get one for each vehicle you own! For youngsters just beginning to drive, for your wife and daughters and especially for the senior citizens in your life. Give yourself and them peace of mind. Just 4 steps to use! I found out about these chargers, and this brand in particular from a youtube channel called "Den of Tools" Excellent channel and highly recommended. Even if you have a super dead battery that won't even crank, just use the boost button and you are ready to go!! I use my Sequoia to pull my campers. If I'm out boondocking away from everything and especially if there is no cell signal, I can always feel at ease that I have this with me.
