I had some gaps int the welds in some places. One of the rack mounts had a gap that steel shavings were coming out of? Can't imagine that is normal. Everything is still strong, just seems like their could be better quality control.

This is a good value for the sale price of $97 at the time of my purchase. Order placed January 15, 2023. I had some issues with a manufacturer defects with my order. Contacted CAP and they sent me the replacement part quickly and I.m pleased with the customer service and the final product. If you are looking for a inexpensive rack to squat, bench, overhead press, and do pull ups on this is a good choice if you don't want to spend a lot. However, if shipping to you area isn't a concern I would get a model with one piece uprights. If you need to disassemble and put the rack in a car or something or they wont ship it to you with one piece uprights, well this is a good option for the money. I would not feel totally comfortable with a lot of weight on this. It as some wobble but i do have it on carpet. I purchased Cap 6 Olympic Plate Holder Attachment for FM-7000F and 905Q Series at the same time thinking it would help with stability, it did not. That attachment Also has two piece uprights and I think is worth buying. I also bought CAP Barbell Safety Catches / Spotter Arms for FM-905Q Color Series, Red to go with the rack and they are fine. This stuff is fine for a beginner, if you are intermediate I would look for something with 4 one piece uprights. I'm not sure if id feel great about having 300lbs on this thing, pull ups sure but on a barbell id upgrade. TlDR: this is a cheap Chinese rack decent for $97 bucks, want to lift more than 300lbs call Rogue Fitness. ... show more

The squat rack arrived couple days earlier than estimated delivery date. No damages or issues came from the box. Inside the box, it had all of the metal parts, the screws, bolts and washers, and the Allan key. I heard that using a ratchet would make the assembly process quicker, but since I didn’t have one, I used a wrench to twist the bolts while holding the Allan key in the other hand. The time it took me to set up the rack was about 2 hours. I assembled the rack on my own, usually it would require 2 people to assemble it faster. One thing I would say is that the instructions weren’t as helpful as I thought it would be because the layout of which screws go in different areas was a little confusing, but I figured it out through patience and extensive reading. After the assembly, I tested the pull ups and it was a bit wobbly, but since I saw the reviews saying that it’s normal for it to wobble, I ignored it. I use the J hooks for my squat exercises and bench press. So far, it’s actually a very decent purchase and it is a great addition to my home gym. I leave it outside as my outdoor squat rack and pull up bar. Knock out a few pull-ups when I let the dogs out. Inexpensive rack for workouts. Rusted a little but that’s to be expected with everything left outside, but still very solid for what I use it for. Mainly a pull up bar.

This is a heartfelt review. This has become among my most prized possessions. Even when it's not bolted down, it manages my 200lbs without problems. Assembly was fairly easy, thought I don't think the hex nut provided is enough...I found myself using a spanner (wrench?) to really ensure the bolts were secure. I also recommend buying a few extra washers as some are bound to get lost in transit. 10/10. Life changing for me. ... show more

As my title says these arms work for holding a barbell somewhat securely. They do tend to sway if you’re not careful with how you’re placing the barbell on them but if you’re safe they work great. A huge let down is the paint on these tends to flake off onto the barbell with just contact which is sad quality. The rubber on the arms also peels up a bit which also is another quality flaw. But they do the job and for the price being cheaper than other options it’s work well. I would recommend this item. ... show more

Rack is perfect for my garage gym. It is sturdy. I’m 173 lbs and do pull-ups on the rack. It doesn’t sway or move. I bought a second set of J hooks so I’m setup for quay and chest press all the time. I bought the safety catches just in case. I believed this is a great value.
