I was scared to buy this product because of the reviews, but so far so good. The instructions are pretty clear on how to set everything up. It came with 2 inks (one color and one black). I haven’t try printing anything yet, just ordered some paper. Will do an update with there’s any problems with it. UPDATE!!!! The set up was pretty easy to follow with the instruction. I was able to connect the printer with my IPhone. I also included how it printed a document. The only thing is that I had a little trouble with the printer coming up in my wifi settings but just follow the instruction and it will work. And the other thing was when you have to go in the app and register the printer, if you have an iPhone don’t click on the “add/switch” button, click on search in the home page and the printer name will come up and it will send you to the page where you have to register the printer, and just follow the rest of the instruction. ... show more

KISS (Keep It Simple, Stupid) — this Canon printer does exactly that. It prints, it scans, and it supports AirPrint. It just works, with no nonsense. I love how straightforward these inexpensive Canon printers are; they don't bombard you with horrible software, cumbersome drivers, or features you'll never use (cough cough HP). The print quality is excellent for the price. I’ve even helped relatives print things like wedding invitations on heavy cardstock, and the quality looked professional. My last Canon printer was nearly a decade old and still printed like new, but the scanner gave out, so I upgraded and passed that one alone. I honestly appreciate that this printer doesn’t even have a screen — it’s a printer and doesn’t need one! It just needs to print. ... show more

Admittedly, set-up for this CANON MG3600 PIXMA PRINTER was not intuitive - but after referring to 3 YouTube videos, I got it up & running. I successfully printed 5 return labels, applauded my abilities, wildly denigrated the whining idiots who'd posted negative reviews, and went on with life. 2 months later, I attempted a print job using both sides of the paper, and it jammed. I cleared the jam, reset the printer, cleared the job from my laptop, and initiated the same job anew - this time asking for print on a single side. The printer - still fully, wirelessly, connected - spit out 2 clean sheets of paper, made a few noises, stopped, and generated an error message on my laptop indicating printer was jammed. I went to the Canon website and read their troubleshooting suggestions. I also spent some time on Google, where the following phrases auto-populated in rapid succession: - canon mg3600 series printer not responding - canon PIXMA stopped working - canon PIXMA not printing wireless - canon PIXMA wireless not working - canon printer not responding WIN10 - canon mg3600 not printing IOS - canon printer not working with MAC - canon printer not working with DELL - canon printer not working with PC I began troubleshooting. I took printer back to factory resets, reset the printer, cleared the jam, cleared the job from my laptop, and initiated the single-sided job anew. The printer spit out 2 clean sheets of paper, made a few more noises, stopped, and generated an error message on my laptop indicating printer was jammed. I deleted software/drivers and reinstalled, cleared the jam, cleared the job from my laptop, and initiated the same job anew. I work in tech, there’s 1 power cord cable and 6 buttons. What. The. F. If it wasn’t for the kind souls who provided very detailed reviews on this product to help other customers set up wirelessly, I would’ve office space smashed this machine in the back parking lot. Thank you so much for the detailed help. Other than that I like it came with print cartridges and it’s very fast and quiet. For someone who only prints like once a year this is perfect. Aside from the horrendous Canon documentation and online troubleshooting self service site docs, it’s pretty good. I’d give setup an absolute zero star rating and machine hardware 4 stars. Canon printer There are so many reviews on Amazon about numerous different printers due to the fact that some are pro canon vs pro hp etc. my husband and I spent almost 2 weeks looking just to find the right one and he kept telling me to get a canon because the brand is good. I was skeptical espeacially because on the product it says about that this gets returned often. I went with my husbands word and purchased it. I don’t currently own a computer so with that being said everything was going to have to be done on my phone and I needed a printer that could hook up to my phone. In all honestly, it did take us about 30 min to figure it out but that’s why their are instructions provided. They help! Take the time to read them because they are not that long. Once we figured it out, our printer connected to our internet and then to my phone and I was able to print things perfectly. Prior to this you will need to download an app that takes less than 1min. It does suggest a USB cable which did not come with the purchase but after following through with the app it connected with out any use of a USB. Once you have everything set up it’s easy peasy. My printer did come with colored and black ink. I must of missed that part but I bought extra because I was sure it didn’t come with it. Don’t no forget to buy your paper. ... show more
