My fiancé and I recently moved and our old home had a counter top (35”-39”) island. I loved the idea of having a pub/bar height (41”-43”) counter in our new home, but never thought it would be so hard to find stools; yet these are PERFECT! Below are the specs because this is something I always look for in reviews and rarely find! * My Pub/Bar styled island has a height of 43in * Stool’s actually stand at 43in *From the stool seat to the bottom of my counter top it is a 12in difference. *From the stool seat to the floor is 31in Assemble: The seats were fairly easy to put together, and “common sense.” It took about a 15-20 minutes for each seat without the directions. & there were extra piece sent which I assume are for unforeseen repairs in the future. Sturdiness/Comfort: I can sit. eat. & relax comfortably in these stools! The velvet is soft and smooth NOT CHEAP AT ALL! The cushions are thick and the metal is firm; I predict these seats lasting a long time! These stools 100% meet the modern look I am aiming for! Wow, I got these for less than half what they are going for now, $200. They are nice except I did not really pay attention to the size of the seat and things like that. This is more for smaller guys, women and children I think as I am only 6' around 220 and it is smallish for me. I fit OK but it's not a full size seat like most chairs are. ... show more

When I ordered these I didn’t expect much since they were really cheap, put one of them together and it went perfectly, the second one was horrible to put together and one of the screws wouldn’t actually screw in place. Tried to contact costumer service to see about returning one chair to get a replacement but you can only return all of it and like I said, they were already half way built. Got what I paid for since they were super cheap when I bought them… but I guess that also shows for how cheap they are when you go to build them. ... show more
