I have assembled full engines easier than putting these together. It was very difficult and I still can't get them to sit level. They did come packaged really well and very protected. Instructions were basically 1 page of pictures. As attractive as these may be, the set I received could not be assembled. Once you connect the base, it looks fine, but installing the lower crossbars....they are too long. If you assemble the crossbars first, then you can't bring the base pieces close enough together to put in the screws. Frustrating! I will be sending these back. ... show more

This is a really comfortable bar chair. Putting it together took a little longer than expected but once I did the first chair I found a groove and it went pretty quickly. I guess I'm super finicky with chairs, as the bottom line is these are not comfortable enough for me to use anymore than for a quick bite or drink. I add an additional pad when I want to use it for longer. I can't use it as a daily chair by itself for working or reading, etc. But in itself, the chairs are sturdy and beautiful. I love the brown leather look - very minimalistic yet stylish and elegant. The seat height is just over two feet, so they are not exactly bar level. You can use them almost as a high chair for your dining table, but perhaps these would be perfect for your kitchen island. ... show more
