  • As Indicated, 1/4" thread housing screw.
As Indicated, 1/4" thread housing screw. Replaced a traditional USA powered buffer/polisher with this handle. It fitted well and will work well. Hard to find standard thread sizes for power tools. Found the 1/4" threads in the camera section and it worked perfect for the buffer.

  • Solid camera grip made great with a few adjustments
The CAMVATE camera handle has a nice weight to it. The metal and rubber seem high quality which offer a nice solid grip. There are a few adjustments I recommend to get the best experience. 1) Using the provided hex wrench, loosen up the metal ring on the end where you will mount. Use the wrench to remove the the 1/4" screw for the moment. Using your fingers tips, twist the the rubber part around the screw hole counter-clockwise until it is slightly above the metal ring. Re-tighten the metal ring. Now your camera will rest on rubber instead of metal. See number 2 for next adjustment. 2) When putting the 1/4" screw back in, you should screw it in until it is slightly shorter than your camera's tripod mount hole's depth. I got a rough estimate by putting the wrench into it and marking it with me fingernail. Then I tightened the 1/4" screw until it was shorter than that estimate. This way when you screw your camera to the handle, the pressure keeping it on is applied to the rubber part mentioned in number 1. When you remove your camera, you won't take the 1/4" screw with it. 3) Lastly, I took off the included metal key ring attached to the bottom and put on a lanyard. It jingled around quite a bit and would affect your camera's audio. ... show more

  • For my follow focus controller
One of the clamps that came with my Tilta Nucleus Nano follow focus kit will wrap around this handle, giving a great place to mount that follow focus wheel that's otherwise hard to hold, and easy to lose track of. Add a comfortable lanyard (I used an extra camera neck strap), and your FF wheel is always there, ready to eat batteries like there's no tomorrow. But I digress. I lopped off a star because the attachment point that hosts the split "keyring" doesn't swivel, it just UNSCREWS. So I'm always a little paranoid that this will unscrew when I'm running around set, not paying attention, and my wheel will drop onto the pavement or something. I'll probably add some red Loctite or something. ... show more

  • Great price and solid
Great price and solid. It appears that the metal ends are to hold the rubber sleeve in place, the end caps don't come off. Both ends are threaded holes, one being open ended and the other with a depth stop. The end with the depth stop has a threaded rod inserted, it was actually a bit to long for my camera. It also came out and was stuck in my rig instead of the handle! You may want to super glue it in, but for me its actually easier for it to be in the rig side. Details about the photo: L Bracket handle grip, This one had a good mix of size, comfort, and portability. Its actually reversible to right hand if you dremel the handle a bit. [...] Chest stabilizer, finding one that would work and was not expensive was difficult. This one worked perfectly, I added a long bolt with its head ground down, and shortened it a bit. An end cap from the hardware store finished it off. This item won't go in my case, I'll keep it with my tripods and lighting stands. http://www.amazon.com/Brinks-Home-Security-665-83001-Door/dp/B00KAXBRXQ ... show more

  • A Really Good Vertical Grip for Cameras
When I bought my Camcorder, I wanted to find something to alleviate the wrist tension from a traditional posture grasp (the one with the hand sleeve strap). I came across this and used it as much as I expected to because it's so comfortable and easy to use. The key ring also provides a great utility. I attached a lanyard to the ring and the vertical grip is so dependable that I can essentially hang my camcorder and boom mic attachment from my neck (depending on how heavy your camera is, I wouldn't recommend prolonged hanging for your neck's comfort). I seriously recommend anyone who uses camcorders to pick this up. Definitely a must have for camera equipment! ... show more
