This is a great shampoo for NATURAL HAIR, meaning curls and coils! Thank goodness there’s a brand like Camille Rose that caters to TEXTURED hair, as most brands have been targeting the demographic with looser or straight hair. This cleanser/shampoo is great because it doesn’t have a strong scent, it cleans well without stripping, and it dispenses product well from the squeeze tube. However, I will say it doesn’t foam up or lather well, it says on the bottle it’s surfactant free, meaning don’t expect to see lots of suds and bubbles. I also have the matching 5 minute mask and I adore it! I have the leave in spray, too. I have fine hair and it works great. You have to make sure your hair is saturated with water first before applying the shampoo.

I had hoped that this would be a cooling/refreshing cleanser, as I used to have a favorite Rosemary/Mint conditioner that is no longer in production, however this one doesn't have that cooling/tingling sensation that you might expect to find in a product containing mint. This is also a pretty heavy product that seemed to weigh my hair done, which might be due to me having very fine hair. I didn't notice a strong scent to this and all-in-all I found this to be a pretty average cleanser that might be better for thicker or coarser hair. ... show more

So thankful I found this. I have oily hair. Like enough to be embarrassingly greasy. It started when I was pregnant and never really went away. Now it is worse than ever and clarifying shampoo is not enough. I was worried when I opened this hair cleanser because it is so thick, I thought I would never wash it all out. I followed the instructions and was so happy when I dried my hair that I don't have the "greasy spot" in the normal places. I will likely use this once or twice a week to help with buildup and oil.
