  • Cambridge Hits a Home Run
Cambridge is a British audio company that has been making high quality products since 1968. I own a lot of Cambridge gear. d This is their first foray into the headphone world and it's impressive. I'm always buying earbuds and headphones, so when I found out about these, I had to try them, especially for the price. Like all Cambridge's products is very understated and functional. The soundstage is very wide and it's tuned to be very neutral out of the box. It's rare to have a 7 band EQ and it makes these a major player. Even listening to the EQ presets, it's impressive how broadly you can tune these. I use earbuds purely for sound and they are a winner. Especially for the price. The noise cancelling is excellent, but I can't address the call quality. I will say if the bass is tuned up they can show some distortion and they are a bit of a pain to get out of the case... but those are nits in an otherwise excellent package. Their new wireless headphones are about to hit the market. They look great and will be in the collection soon. ... show more

  • Amazing Sound
These sound incredible, great bass, vocals and highs. The bass is as deep as my wife’s Bose Quitecomfort II, but brighter and more complex. The EQ is easy to adjust and you can save a lot of custom settings in addition to the 5-6 presets.

  • Wow, and I mean Wow with a capital W
Awesome! Awesome with any kind of music you want to throw at it: classical, rock, funk, it answers the call. Clearly the best I have ever owned, and I have some Apple Beats Pro, Apple Studio, Technics, and Soundcore Space A40 buds sitting in a. drawer right next to me, as well as Jabra Elite 75 and Samsung Galaxy Buds Live sitting on my desk. I have a pair of Lark Studio LSX Buds, and these have a much richer and more complete sound. There is no comparison. Incredibly deep, broad, rich, and all encompassing sound, amazing sound stage, great battery life, all at an unbelievably low price - I mean, $219 on Amazon? Do yourself a favor, save yourself a lot of money, and drop the dough on these. You will love yourself if you do - ... show more

  • Phenomenal sounding earbuds ~ Better than those costing twice the price
Due to lousy battery life: I exchanged my Bang & Olufsen Beoplay EX earbuds for these. Right out of the box, the Cambridge Audio Melomania M100 Earbuds sound phenomenal. When I selected the Rock preset button; I was blown away with their performance. They sound better than the B & O's, at nearly half the price. In addition; I can listen to them all day long, without worrying about the battery running out of juice. With noise cancelling turned on; I’m getting an astounding 11 hours of play time, an hour longer than advertised. That’s simply unheard of. Having owned dozens of high end earbuds over the years; I'm pleased to report that the Cambridge Audio Melomania M100 Earbuds sound as good as or better than all of the others, regardless of price. These earbuds are absolutely amazing. I recommend using the included foam tips for the best overall sound. I've posted a photo of the custom equalizer setting that I've used for even more bass. ... show more

  • Great Sounds, Terrible Implementation
Update: I think I'm keeping them. The sound is just too magnificent to pass up even if the rest isn't great. These are the best sounding bluetooth earphones I have ever heard at the $100-$400 range, and they're cheaper than the competition as well. Having said that, I am sending them back to amazon for a few reasons: 1. They are too large, I cannot maintain a good fit, and they simply hurt my ears. 2. The ANC is terrible. Worse than the $90 bluetooth Sony earbuds I am currently using. It blocks no train or car noise. 3. The left earbud disconnects often, or blips in and out. This morning it refused to connect at all. Had put earphones into the case twice before they worked properly. 4. When ANC is on, and earphone is at full volume, I hear awful crackling. I've never seen this behavior from a pair or bluetooth earbuds before. I'd put up with bad ANC and glitches all day long for that sound. But the earbuds just have a very large and weird shape that does not work with my ears. The sound, however, is unbeatable. It is a bright, wide sounding, yet thumping pair of earbuds. It has everything you could need for all types of music. They also equalize very well. ... show more

  • A leap in earbud technology
I have been an audio enthusiast for the last 30 years and this product is a clear leap in technology, especially for the price. Large drivers, class AB amplification, a wide soundstage, and details galore. Crisp and clear notes leap out into the outmost corners of the ether. Never harsh but always revealing. There is a holographic quality to the sound signature, however, Sennheiser's MTW4 are certainly better in this regard. Sennheiser's offering has exceptional tuning. One could prefer a BMW but a Genesis is still very luxurious. These buds are vented, so there is a ported subwoofer effect when a deep bass note hits. The bass never bleeds into the mids and is amazingly satisfying simply because it doesn't mimic a sealed subwoofer. Deep and wonderfully impactful. I would be surprised if you do not like how these earbuds sound. Truly a portable club experience with a remarkable battery life to boot. ... show more

  • The Most frustrated I have ever had with earbuds…
Where do I start? I got these a few days ago. Based on the fantastic reviews on how good they sounded. Received them over the weekend, charge them up. At first, connect perfectly fine to my android phone, a Samsung galaxy fold Z5. Played a variety of different music, and so far at that point great, one of the best earbuds I’ve heard. After about an hour, I put them away, and later that night when I was putting my son to bed, I tempted to connect them to my phone. They would do nothing. I plug them in to make sure enough and two red lights kept blinking on the case. Try to connect to my iPad, that worked for a little bit, but after that, I was unable to ever connect the earbuds to either of my tablet or my phone. This went on for about a day and a half. Ultimately, I just gave up and I am sending them back to Amazon. I’m very sad because when they did work, the sound was spectacular, especially when I adjusted it in the app. It’s sad, because I may brief more thought I found the perfect earbuds for, high-quality sound. ... show more
