  • I think it will hold up
This isn't a full review because I haven't fully tested this carburetor yet due to the weather but I will update this once I get a chance to ride. My old carb would leak gas and it took atleast 10 minutes to get my warrior started with a cold start, I took it off and ordered a rebuilt kit but lost interest and my warrior sat for probably close to 4 or 5 years before I decided to mess with it again. A couple weeks ago I started rebuilding the original carb but some of the screws stripped and the accelerator pump rod broke after I attempted to get it unstuck, to order the OEM screws it would have been nearly $2 a screw and $30 for the flimsy aluminum pump rod which is ridiculous. I decided the best option would be to order this carb and use the parts off of it to finish the rebuild, but it seemed decent enough and I decided to just use the whole thing. After I installed this carb my warrior started after a couple cranks with the choke on but would die if I let off the throttle, tried it again with the choke off and it started up and ran on its own with no problem, I let it run for atleast 20 minutes. I can't say how this will hold up yet but there are no leaks and I didn't even have to do any adjustments (I'm in the eastern central part of the U.S. for an elevation / adjustment reference). What I did after it was installed was turn the fuel on and pump the throttle 10 times and let it sit for about an hour to prime it before I tried to start it. The sad thing is a new OEM carb is between $300 to $500 and around $100 used if you go to eBay, but to be honest I think this one will do fine, if anything is going to go wrong with it it's probably going to be the rubber seals and even then you're only out $40 for the carb and $20 getting a rebuild kit for the rubber seals down the road if needed. I would strongly suggest using the original nuts / washers when installing if possible, turn your fuel off on the petcock when not riding and I would take the carb apart for cleaning after sitting for awhile or after heavy use just to keep things running smoothly. ... show more

  • Good for the price
Worked perfect upon install(no tuning) No leaks, throttle cable tube was correct if not too short. Worked great for about 3 hours then started leaking a bunch out of the black cover on the side. Thinking float height is wrong will update if so

  • Worked for me!

  • Shipped with missing parts. Caltric was no help.
Carb looked fairly worn as did hardware. Studs were missing from front of carb as well as oring. Plastic cover over throttle linkage housing was broken on 2 corners and 2 longer bolts from the bowl were swapped with 2 of the bolts from said housing. Throttle cable housing tube on top of the carb was missing as well. Caltric immediately passed me off to amazon customer support. Would advise not to buy there products at all. ... show more

  • Fixed hesitation/sputtering at mid to high rpm.
My 04' Warrior was hesitating at mid to high rpm. I changed out the carb with this Chinese knock off. I was really surprised but it runs great now. I did adjust the valves while I was down there too. Only issue installing was the inlet tube for the throttle cable is different and had to be trimmed shorter. Came with a 145 main jet the same as stock. ... show more

  • dependability not so much

Then ran worse and worse throughout the day until it wouldnt even start. Havent had time to check it out but ive tried many times to start but sounds very lean and dies. ... show more
