Top Amazon Reviews

  • Give it a chance.
Platform: Xbox One Edition: Legacy
Campaign only review: I played through the campaign with low expectations due to the plethora of negative reviews, I was pleasantly surprised. Gameplay - The controls and overall mechanics were solid. It's everything one would expect from the Call of Duty franchise. I would say they're even smoother than black ops 3. Story: A bit on the generic side but overall very entertaining for what it was. I spent approximately 10 or so hours or more playing through it. I didn't bother with multiplayer. Graphics: This game is beautiful. The graphics are some of the best I've seen in the genre. From the corridors to the space battles, the visuals are on point. No complaints here. Summary: This is a solid shooter with a lot of fun ideas implemented. I think a lot of the hate comes from Call of Duty purists who dislike the direction the franchise took. Also forcing people to buy it in order to get the modern warfare was a d**k move. I believe if they had released this game as a standalone franchise it would have been better received. If you're curious, try it. ... show more

  • MW Remastered is worth the price although IW is just another CoD disappointment
Platform: Xbox One Edition: Legacy
Infinite warfare is yet another disappointing game in the COD franchise, although Modern Warfare is a reminder of what made the series of games so good and loveable. IW is another futuristic campaign with even stranger weapons and abilities. The game makes you wonder why you consistently get so excited about the release of another CoD game every November, and then are once again met with extreme disappointment at the garbage story line and attempt to drum up new weapons with even stranger do-hickie attachments categorized as "upgrades". The whole experience is like a terrible iPhone app that continues to prod you to pay for extra services, such as camo for your uniform or weapon. Online play is equally disappointing with characters sliding around and running on the walls. Quick scoping still lives despite all the advances in technology and years of gamers grumbling about it. Modern Warfare though is a blast from the past that allows you to relive those fun Saturday mornings on your original Xbox despite being a recycled game from nearly ten years ago. Modern Warfare has everything that you could want or need in a video game and is the only reason to buy this product. Essentially, MW Remastered is worth the price of the game. Log in to Xbox Live and play IW to understand the disappointment in the game and then hop over to MW Remastered, either campaign or online, and have a blast. The only downfall to MW Remastered seems to be the lack of online participation. Waiting is excessive for lobbies, and joining can be difficult due to what I assume is limited participation. One star for Infinite Warfare, five stars for MW Remastered. ... show more

  • Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare--finished the single player mode in about 5 hours. Sad. Bought this for bundled Modern Warfare.
Platform: Xbox One Edition: Legacy
Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare, for the Xbox One, was definitely more "Boots-on-the-Ground", compared to its last few predecessors, but IMHO--it was a meager offering my Activision. I finished the single player mode in about 5 hours--very short; and I never really enjoyed the multiplayer modes. It was like chewing the chewed. There's very little flavor to Infinite Warfare, and I couldn't care any less about this iteration. What I found valuable instead, was the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Re-master. Until last year, the only way to get the Modern Warfare re-master, was through this Legacy Edition. Now it is sold separately but I have no regrets. The more I revisit Infinite Warfare, the more it grows on me. And I've thoroughly enjoyed revisiting Modern Warfare with the revised graphics. I give Infinite Warfare 3 Stars--Modern Warfare 5 Stars. Split the difference for a 4 Star score. ... show more

  • Split review
Platform: Xbox One Edition: Legacy
Split review... Because honestly I didn't buy this for infinite warfare. Lets be honest I don't think many people did. Now my husband really enjoyed the campaign for the Infinite Warfare and had a lot of fun, enjoyed the story line and the graphics were pretty damn good. ( I enjoyed listening to the robot) Now all I wanted was Remastered for the online game play because I enjoyed the old maps way back when. I did the campaign before and haven't really had that burning desire to play through it again. So just from the online maps and gaming its a ton of fun. So two games for the price of one is very much worth the price. ... show more

  • Didn't understand all of the hate until today. They have combined match types and made all of your equipment obsolete.
Platform: Xbox One Edition: Legacy
I'm extremely upset at what these idiots are doing to this game. They have recently combined match types so you can longer play your desired match type, you have to join a bundle of match types and hope that you get to play the one you want. Kill confirmed? Now combined with frontline... and many more. I did not have the patience to look at what else they ruined because I just played 3 matches of frontline in a row when all I wanted to do was jump on and play a few quick games of kill confirmed, which I can no longer do. Also, if you have any of the epic weapons from early in the game they are now made obsolete by all of the MKII versions of those weapons which are strictly better. This game punishes you for spending money on all of it's extras that it really pushes to pay to win when it doesn't need to be that way. So you're screwed if you pay money to get better weapons and you're screwed if you don't. ... show more

  • Same old Same old with Call of Duty.
Platform: Xbox One Edition: Legacy
This was an okay edition of the game. To be honest I didn't play very much of the Infinite Warfare just because I did not like it at all. I only really played COD 4 remastered which I still to this day play. COD remastered looks awesome and still has that classic feel to it. I can still pop that game in and play it for hours without really paying attention to the time with my buddies. Infinite Warfare on the other hand is your regular run and gun type of COD game. Not a huge fan of it due to all of the unrealistic futuristic gunplay and how you actually play the game. Had I waited and known, I would have just got COD 4 remastered when it came out. Overall I give the game 5 out of 10. Basically 5 out of 5 for COD 4 remastered. The other version of the game is garbage in my view. ... show more
