    • Some Customization Required, But Works
Like many of you, I broke the carafe of my 4-cup Mr. Coffee. Not wanting to replace the whole machine, I was sad to see that a replacement carafe is difficult to come by. This universal carafe came to the rescue at a much more attractive price. The plastic lid required some customization to make it fit: cutting the outer flange of the insert until the height was right for the coffee machine. I have a very old Mr Coffee 4 cup coffee maker. After years of use the carafe spontaneously cracked. This carafe fits the Model JR-4 perfectly. The written description of the product gave the correct dimensions. Of particular importance was the height of the carafe as the original carafe was very squat. There is no metal on the carafe so it can be used to rewarm coffee in the microwave. The attachment of the lid and handle appear to be strong but only time will tell if it is durable. The carafe is labeled 'Made in Germany'. I have been using this new carafe and have not encountered any problems. Contrary to some reviews it is pouring smoothly without any spillage.     • Perfect fit for Mr. Coffee 4-cup Pause n Serve
This nicely priced pot works perfectly as a replacement for the Mr. Coffee 4-cup Pause n Serve (TF Series) (the Mr. Coffee replacement decanter item number is SPD3 or SPD4 depending on the color). The shorter pause-and-serve adapter piece works with this particular coffeemaker. Even though the small “knob” and holes of the adapter don’t appear to be large enough to work without making a mess, they do indeed work just fine. Just be sure the pot is placed fully on the burner, since there is not as much room for error as there was with the original pot. A note to people who had trouble with coffee dribbling or spilling from the spout: you just have to pour from the pot a little more slowly and at a less acute angle than you’re used to. My first pour made a bit of a mess, but now I’m used to taking a few more milliseconds to fill my mug. (It’s a 19-ounce mug, so it does feel like a long wait!) Added 11/2016: Wanted to mention that this pot is STURDY. Twice now I've put it down too hard on marble countertops and expected it to at least crack, if not shatter. It hasn't done either. Not that I advise being that careless, but it is still nice to know that the pot was made to last. ... show more

It's a nice coffee pot and comes with two different attachments that are supposed to make it work with a wide variety of coffee makers, but unfortunately ours, the Cuisinart DCC-450BK, is not among them. The lid without any attachments is too low to deactivate the brew-pause feature, and both of the attachments are too tall to fit. Otherwise seems to be a very nice product. ... show more
