    • Great thermal travel pitcher
EDIT: I wound up buying 2 of these. The 2nd to replace the 1st, when the internal glass shattered. You have to be careful to gradually warm up the interior before pouring piping hot liquid into it. In a rush, I didn't warm it up with warm water and wound up with hot coffee leaking into my car. Luckily, the pitcher's construction kept all the glass contained, so that part of clean up was a breeze. I would still highly recommend it. Great at keeping liquids hot. I bring my coffee to work in this every day and when I save my last cup until the end of the day, it is still hot when i pour it. I love that the interior is glass. So much better than stainless at getting clean and not retaining flavors. The opening is also large enough to actually get a small scrub brush into which really helps. Probably great at keeping them cold as well, but I have not tested it for this. One word of caution, make sure the button to open the pour spout is closed when you transport it. The button is flush when closed and barely lower than the lid when open. I unknowingly had the button compressed and VOILA! Coffee on my floor! :) The button is sturdy enough to not just press down if it is nudged, but I didn't realize it stayed open once pressed, until I spilled coffee into my shoe and saw coffee all over the floor. I bought two of these in translucent eggplant: one I'm using and one for reserve, because you never know when something you really like won't be available anymore. These work great, keep my coffee hot through the day, and it's even warm enough to be drinkable the next morning if I don't want to heat it in the microwave. I always fill with hot tap water while the coffee maker is working. I imagine if I boiled water in my tea kettle and used that to heat the server, the coffee would stay hotter longer. But I am happy with these; exactly what I was looking for. Had trouble finding anything to replace an insulated server my mother had given me decades ago. Only one little wish, that it didn't require two hands to dispense, but I can live w/ that. ... show more

Love this! Perfect for my coffee and I love the color. Keeps my coffee hot for an extended amount of time. I fill it with hot water and let that sit while my coffee is brewing. Easy to wash but I did discover that when I left it in the sink for about 20 minutes after taking it out I had water leaking from the bottom for a little while. I just don't leave it sit in the sink again. Very convenient to carry and seal is really good as long as you make sure the button on the top is not pushed down. May have to buy another for backup since I like this one so much and so many colors to choose from. ... show more

Love this Caraffe! I know that you should heat it up with hot water but I did not find that necessary. It stays hot for the 3 big mugs that I drink. It was still warm after 24 hours. Apparently others users had problems with leaking from the bottom. Being aware of this I was quite sure to tighten the bottom before using. I have had no problems with any leaks. I had been looking for a insulated caraffe for a while and was really happy to find one in my favorite color and of such good quality. This was a great purchase. ... show more

I love using this for tea however when I wash it water leaks out of the purple case for a day or two. I think the water gets sucked up into the area between the case and metal thermos part from the bottom.

Love this! I use a french press every am and no matter which kind I buy it does not really keep the coffee warm. I have been microwaving it..but it is not great! With this -I pout it in after I brew and it keeps it HOT HOT HOT! Love it! Love the color too! Not translucent really but super cute!

    • Loved it, until it exploded.
After just over 6 months of use the vacuum bottle just exploded as I made my morning carafe of pour-over. I have never dropped it, banged it against anything or otherwise abused it. Checking with EMSA about the 3-year warranty.

I already had one of these that I found at Home Goods, so I knew it would be pretty good. It's a charming shade of purple and it works, keeps coffee hot for a good long while. One criteria for me was that I could use a Melitta coffee filter holder with it and while it isn't a perfect fit, it does work. ... show more
