I ordered this potting mix for my succulent garden because after a winter of snow, rain, wind, and storms I had lost 2 succulents and also needed to add soil to the remaining succulents. This mixture is light and doesn't retain excessive amounts of water like traditional potting soil. I have also found that this works well with my 2 yucca plants. I only use this mix for the plants that do not need to have water retaining soil. ... show more

This appears to be a good product, easy to use and keep unused portions, but if your particular succulent calls for a gritty mix, you’ll have to add a lot more perlite or poultry grit.
