I did SO MUCH research on duvets while trying to upgrade my bedding… I have pretty bad household allergies, so I spent hours looking into not only “fill power”, different weights, and seasons, but I also wanted to know more about synthetic/down/other feathers, etc, so I could get the weight and fluff I wanted without the sneezing! Let me tell you…. THIS DUVET IS A 10!!! It’s like a fluffy hotel comforter, kinda noisy but just how I like it. It’s heavy but not too hot, my allergies haven’t been bothered, and my very very hot sleeper of a boyfriend is also in love (he sweats no matter what, so no EXTRA sweating is a win in our book). We got the (oversized?) king for our king bed/duvet cover, so it’s extra fluffy which I love. The only thing keeping this score from being an 11, is that there’s no ties in the middle of the top or bottom edges to secure it to the duvet cover, so it kind of sinks in sometimes, which is no biggie for me. This comforter is super cozy and comfortable!! It’s a little noisy, but the comfort makes up for it. I have a king size bed. I do wish the comforter was a bit longer, but I think the length is pretty standard. Overall, I lover it!!

I was wary because an old review of this item showed that they received a duvet with only 55% down. I decided since that review was so old and newer reviews all said 80%Down, I would roll the dice.     • Definitely "Heavy Warmth for Winter”

So far we’ve been pretty happy with this purchase. The price was amazingly low for the quality of product we received. This comforter seems to be true to it’s claim that it’s "Heavy Warmth for Winter”. I live in NYC, and so far it’s been a little too toasty for us. The comforter it’s replacing was a little lighter and probably more suited for our climate. But I think this would be perfect for anyone living in northern climes who get subzero temps. The whole thing seems well constructed, good stitching with the down pretty evenly distributed thruout the baffled boxes. The only negative about his duvet insert was a notable odor to it when we first opened the bag. And it wasn’t a “natural” bird feather/down smell that the manufacturer claims. It was definitely an artificial smell (reminded me of dry cleaning solution) that took a couple of days to air out. I was a little concerned at first but after shaking it every day we finally got the smell out. And it fluffed up quite nicely. Even tho this and similar products are listed as comforters, they are meant to be inserts, like a pillow, that you put into a duvet cover. It’s the cover that gets laundered frequently, not the comforter. So it didn’t bother me that this was “Dry Clean Only”. I even used a top sheet so I don’t have to wash the duvet cover every time as well. The duvet cover also helps with any shedding which frankly I find to be a natural occurrence with most down comforters, even more expensive ones. ... show more

Check the stitching. Received one that did not have stitching complete on the baffle. Easily exchanged. The oversized king has 80oz of down. This comforter is no joke. It will keep you warm. It’s also heavy but not when sleeping. Heavy to carry which means it will need a extra large capacity dryer and washer. It is 80% down and 20% feathers. It does make crinkle sounds. There are 8 ties. To get it fluffed cram it into the dryer for a few minutes. Then after you get it into your duvet shake and shake. It will fluff up. Putting it in a slightly smaller duvet will also help add to the fluffy look. This was too warm for us so we returned it for a king size. We have a queen bed and both sizes work. The king is perfect for us in terms of warmth. We are hot sleepers and live in California. I can’t say it will work in the summer. But for fall and winter this is perfect. Wish they made a lightweight for summer. The fluff on both are wonderful. Just shake them out and you’ll get the wonderful fluffy comforter look. ... show more

    • Everything you would want in a Goose Down Comforter
There are quite a few options to buy a comforter and it makes it difficult when there are mixed reviews. After looking at just about everyone goose comforter option, I decided with this one. What's important is not only the actual fill is Goose, where some have fine print with "fill" that is not true Goose, and also the amount of fill is also important which changes the weight of the blanket. This comforter had high quality of both. After letting the comforter air out for 2 days and then manually fluffing it up, it fluffed up perfectly, great quality, and met all my expectations. This comforter is great during colder times of the year, but most likely will need to swap it for a lighter comforter as it gets warmer.
