I spent a lot of time looking for a storage solution I liked for my sons room. Most were more than I was willing to buy, for far less space. I was iffy on getting this, but so happy I did. They are good quality, I love the way they look, easy to put together and function well. I love the transparency on the ones I got. I debated the black but super happy with what I bought. Affordable and easy to put together, these were the perfect solution for getting all of the plushies off the floor, which is where they previously lived. These are very lightweight so they won’t hold more than a couple books or heavy items but they hold tons of plushies and my kids love being able to have all of their buddies on display! Good - Fairly cheap for the amount it holds; you can get cheaper but they usually come with caveats. Reasonably modular. Not quite as modular as getting a pile of well put together wooden boxes and stacking them on top of each other, but the connectors give it stability beyond the inherent weight. Bad - I'm not sure I trust the 11 pound weight limit. I'd stick to 8 or lighter unless you're putting it on the very bottom. Unless you set the frames in perfectly (and you aren't a machine so you won't set the frames in perfectly) there's going to be a slight misalignment. The included mallet is supposed to fix that but it seems like getting one part in place will pop out another. I went with the bottom being very sturdy and took any issues with the very top layer (which is to say, the panels on the very top; I was able to make sure that only they had any connection issues). It shouldn't cause any problems, but you can kind of see where the pressures are uneven. Overall; if you're looking to store a variety of small things in an easy to see manner, such as for display, this is for you. Reasonably good for knickknacks. Personally I would recommend something like a repurposed bookshelf, but a good quality bookshelf will run much more than this and be harder to store for transport. I'd say this is good for temporary stuff or if you plan on rearranging often. If you need to store a lot of things or heavy things, you'd be better off getting something more solid. Worked perfectly for extra bulky clothes that I couldn’t shove in my tiny dresser. Assembly requires a little patience, but once you get rolling it comes together easily. Everything snapped in place and feels sturdy. Would recommend!

UPDATE: C&A Home has reached out again and replaced all of the inferior unbranded connectors with branded C&A Home connectors. They have also stated that the unbranded connectors were simply a trial and that they aren't planning to move forward with them. If the connectors continue to retain their high quality alongside the high quality panels then this is, in my opinion, the best cube set available. I have bought this product in 4 different colors over a dozen times in the past year. The panel and connector quality have both been excellent which is how I have justified the cost since they are relatively expensive. However, with the most recent purchase I made the company has begun to switch their branded C&A Home connectors out for unbranded generics. The quality of these generic connectors is noticably lower. The color is not as bright, the fit is not as snug, and they do not have the C&A Home logo on them. I contacted the company to report the counterfeit connectors and was told that this was intended. I take this to be a signal that they are reducing quality, which is unfortunate. ... show more

This is a self-assemble shelving unit, fairly simple to put together, just takes some time and effort locking in the assembly connectors. Seems sturdy and stable for light items, but I wouldn't use it for heavy items since the "walls" are just plastic sheeting. The user reviews stated that one could make multiple separate units from all these pieces, but this is not the case. I'm missing 2 connectors for one of my shelves - I built 2 separate units. So unfortunately that shelf is a bit unstable and I can't put items on top because the shelf will collapse in without the connector to stabilize the corner. But to help me make use of small vertical spaces, it works. ... show more
