While I'm reviewing things I bought a while ago, I think I'll do this one! I love it so much! Its perfectly sized, it has multiple buttons and options, and can play local radio! Even without the headphones, it still plays loud and clear! It's been through some stuff in the time I've bought it, and it still works good as new! Buy this because it is SO worth it! One thing I was stuck on, though, was the radio. The control for the radio is a bit hard to use and you have to hold it a certain way for each station that works- BUT it has many many stations! It can do it all XD another thing was; I had some cassettes get stuck at the top. But it's easy to take it out! It just sticks to the inside lid I guess XD ... show more

Great player. Good quality for the money. You can fine tune the tape head for crystal clarity. It's not super loud , but I'm in my 50'$ ,and after many years of touring ,and playing live shows y hearing ain't the best. But I must say that I've had a few cassette players ,and this one may not be as high quality as my sony walkman mega bass ,but for the money you can't fail. Also the radio is good when yer batteries are too low to do cassettes. Now the anti roll is non existent ,but that's not an issue so long as yer not jogging ,or doing aerobics. So buy one ,and relive the 80'$. If this unit had been available in the 80'$ ... It would've been a top seller. WORD UP !!!. ... show more

This is a great product. The only negative about it is that I think there's no way to use the speaker on the unit with the radio. I've only used it for the radio so far, but that works well. The volume control (atleast for radio) goes up to so loud it's well past my tolerance, so the low end of the volume knob is where I keep it. The radio reception is really good. This receives signals my wife's 2020 car can't pick up. I use it to listen to tunes when when my phone battery dies. It works great as a radio. I have tapes incoming so I will update this review when I can try them. It's great to get to hear radio the old fashioned way at home instead of just while driving. Other positives: -Nobody pitching you creepy ads based off of stuff you listen to; you don't want that stuff anyway. -No sign up necessary. -No monthly fee. -Nothing recording your conversations. You want to record something? You can record something! -Wireless-ish -Off the grid friendly! -Battery powered or USB powered -No DRM. Got a song on tape? It isn't going anywhere unless you say so! -Wanna take it with you and don't have pockets? Use the hip clip! -Don't wanna use the hip clip? Take off the hip clip! -No antenna (Don't need one!). -No Wi-Fi download limit. -Nobody knows what you play on it. -Don't like a song on the radio? You can call the station! Don't mind the songs on the station? Call anyway and pretend to! Hours of entertainment for free (phone minutes not included) (annoyed radio hosts included). Negatives -It's not asteroid-proof. -It's not lava proof. -Radio songs are censored. I got this for my Guardians of the Galaxy obsessed teenager along with the soundtracks from the movies. My non-Marvel loving husband was skeptical but I knew he’d love it. And he did! His favorite gift this Christmas. Of course I would have loved to get him a Walkman but they are so expensive now! This one has been great. I bought it along with cassettes Disney sells of the soundtracks. Watching his tech-loving self learn how to use this was fun. It has only pulled the tape once so far but I was able to fix it. That was also probably due to operator error and my son not understanding how to use it properly. I purchased some Koss headphones on here. Other than the fact I was unable to find orange pads for them the whole set up has been a hit. ... show more

The buttons do not work properly. Rewind 'sound' goes on for as long as you let it. Nothing is really happening. I recorded 2 tapes of conversations with an elderly relative for historical purposes. Neither of the tapes played back properly. Very disappointed. I put it in a drawer and am too late to return it but hope this helps others to not make the bad decision of purchasing this very poor product. ... show more

It works as described but the rewind button is sooooooooo slow. I have to flip the cassette and fast forward to rewind the other side. The volume sucks as well, even if you have it all the way up, you still need to hold it up to your ear to hear it. Not sure if this is a faulty one or they are all like this. ... show more
