I have owned an automatic before with not great success. This toaster is exactly as promoted. The auto feature works great. Heavy items like bagels are no issue. This is a well thought out toaster. Controls are intuitive and easy to use.

After viewing countless toasters, I decided on this toaster. First I wanted the selection buttons on the left side (as you look at them) due to my kitchen space. The cord comes out on the back right side and is 41 inches long, 43 inches if you count the plug. The color is a very beautiful deep orange color which I really like more than I thought I would. The slots are an ample 6 inches long and 1.57inches wide. It's fun to watch the LCD display and you know the toast is almost done when the lines you are watching are almost gone. After learning a very expensive lesson, I have learned to always purchase insurance, which I did. So far it toasts perfectly. ... show more

This is built like a tank. It does one thing, toasts, and does it well. Lowers and raises the bread gracefully, no throwing finished toast into the air. I didn't realize it until usingitforsome time, but after a while being idle it turns off on its own and remembers the darkness setting next time you use it. I think this toasts bagels and bread very well. I like the look of the toaster and that the bread slowly comes up when done instead of popping up like my old one. The media could not be loaded. I now realize I’ve deprived myself my entire life by buying cheap ass toasters, spend a little more get this one. It’s gorgeous on the outside it has the soft delivery, which is a must have for me… no longer playing catch.
