    • Great base cost, but with a huge con for me.
I love this base coat on its own. It doesn't dry out my nails and applies smoothly. I would like to say it helps my nails' health, but I've been diligently applying cuticle oil so hard to say. My one con, and for me, it's a big one. I only paint my toes for reference. This base coat, though, doesn't keep my polish on my nails! The polish bunches and peels right off. The first time, I thought my polish was old (ok it is) and needed thinned. The next time I thought I painted my toes too close to bedtime. But, thus time.... I painted them on a Wednesday evening. The next morning, I had to touch up on toe before I flew. I wore slip on, closed toe shoes on the plane (but not tight at all). By the time I got to my destination 4 toes were messed up. On one the polish was bunched; another a spot missing; and the polish was completely off the last 2. I picked off polish on my skin on the bunched toe, and the whole nails worth of polish came off. Fortunately, I had brought my color with me. I touched them up (no base polish), wore sandals for several hours. The next day I wore sneakers foe several hours. I had holes in the polish on 2 toes, both ones that had base coat. The toes with just color polish on them were fine. I really want to love this base coat. I do think it's good for your nails. I know this product isn't advertised for nail biting but it worked great for me and my nails are the healthiest they have ever been. Definitely helped strengthen my nails from the 20 years of biting and abuse I've put them through

This stuff works, BUT when the polish starts to go low, you can't get the polish out of the bottle. They need to make the bottle round. I think that would help. Or maybe they can make another design. That is why I gave them 4 stars,

I had an allergic reaction to gel nail polish (after being fine with it for years). My nails were brittle. Cuticles swollen. Fingertips dry and peeling. I was miserable. My fingertips hurt. I needed something to bring my nails back to life. I had nearly immediate relief. After a few days my nails are much better. They don’t hurt anymore. And the overall health improved. My cuticles and tips still have dead skin, but they aren’t bleeding and aren’t sore anymore. I’ve been applying every few days and plan to use this as a base coat going forward when I repaint my nails (not with gel, lesson learned). ... show more

    • It’s worth the money
I can already tell this is going to be worth the price tag. I’m sold. I have struggled with my nails my entire life. They peel and break easily, especially on my right hand. To mirror another reviewer (which was one reason I took the plunge), I don’t know if it’s witchcraft, but after one coat, they felt stronger. The still have a little bend to them, but they already seem stronger. Other nail polishes chip right away. Like within the same day. Not this. No peeling. No chipping. Withcraft, voodoo. I don’t know, but take my money. We’ll see how my nails are in a month or two, but I’m impressed. I’m going to add this to my autoship rotation. For reference, I’ve tried Essie, OPI, Nail Tek, Sally Hansen, Orly…nothing has gone on as nicely and made my nails look and feel better like this. ... show more
