Aesthetically I love it! The dish itself is a good size, fits longer butter sticks too! The seal on the lid is tight and keeps the butter fresh. My only issue is with the knife having those lil holes the butter gets stuck in and you have to clean it so thoroughly after every use. I will probably just not use that lil knife. This is such a cute butter dish! My dog was reaching up to the counter and knocking my old dish off so he could eat the butter. This dish stays closed and is harder for him to reach and get to. It might be harder for him to smell the butter so it's less of a temptation for him since it's closed up. I also try to keep it further back too. The little knife is very cute. The lit is airtight so it keeps the butter tasting fresh and I love that the bamboo lid doubles as a cutting board and has a spot to store the knife. We don't use the knife it comes with because it doesn't lock into place and just kinda sits there.
